As his hand slid to her neck, she knew what was going to happen. She didn't need to be pulled, she eased into it. The kiss. In that moment, she knew this was all she wanted. For decades and decades of being alone and empty, this was the one thing that filled her the most. Galient filled her. More than music ever could. Her eyes were closed so she could emerce herself in every feeling that she had. His lips were soft yet firm. It felt like it went on forever, like she wanted it to. Warm...just like the rest of you.
As he pulled away, she smiled so sernely when she reopened her eyes to look up at him. Ophelia was breathless. Her heart was pounding like mad. Like a techno beat. She sighed softly as she nuzzled her nose against his softly, their foreheads leaning against each other. All the music in the world couldn't describe this situation. Ophelia carressed his tan cheek softly and felt, for once in a hundred and thirty years, felt as though she belonged.

Galient felt as if he couldn't speak, he couldn't find the words to. What could he say after that? Nothing, that's what. So, instead of sitting there like an idiot and just staring at her, he went go get something for her. "I'll be right back." He said, with another kiss on her pale, yet full lips. He stood and walked into the kitchen. He searched for a place where blood would be stored. Cabinet? No, it would rot. Fridge. He stopped at the fridge and looked in the drawers and found a drawer full of blood packs. He pulled one out and shut the fridge.
He walked back with two cups in each hand that held in it warm blood and ice water. From what he thought, the warm blood would be like having hot cocoa if you were a vampire. "Here," He said, giving the blood to her and keeping the ice water for himself. He sat back down on the couch. "You know...people can't know about us...you know that, right? I'm afraid someone will get hurt if people, particularly vampires and werewolves, find out about us. And by someone getting hurt, I mean you. I don't want to lose you already." He watched her, making sure his words were coming in loud and clear.

She shivered from the last kiss and leaned over the armrest of the couch to see what he was doing. When he came back around the corner, she took the mug from him. She smiled as she sipped at it for a moment then put it on the coffee table.
She smiled at his concern for her. Putting a finger to his lips she said softly, "I know. It's fine, that would be my main concern. But you'll find it's the other way around. It would be me protecting you." Ophelia leaned in again and kissed his cheek softly. It was rather true. She was probably the stronger one here. Vampires often had at least ten times the strength as a normal human would. If anyone was protecting anyone, it would be her protecting him.
"It's alright, who have I to tell anyway?" She smiled as she added the last sentance. She took another sip of the warm blood and shooed Bianca from her feet. As the cat fled she threw a small insult at her. "You pick the worst times, you know that?" The cat gave a meloncholy meow as she skittered away down the hall.

Galient thought about what Ophelia said. True, vampires were stronger... , he thought. "That is true, but how many vampires do you know come together to fight off an enemy? They work on their own. Humans make mobs, crowds, things like that. They don't have strength or agility, but they have numbers." He said sternly. He knew what would happen if a human mob took on a vampire. He knew because he'd been in one. He was the leader of it. They had slain the person they wanted, but he had never fully been satisfied with it.
When Ophelia kissed his cheek, he still felt the desire burning within him. Less strong now, but there. And now, sitting here, looking into Ophelia's eyes, he knew that she was what had satisfied him. Not just satisfied, but he loved her. There was always something intriguing about a forbidden love, he thought.
He blinked and smiled at Bianca as she scurried away down the hall. "Take it easy on her, she just wants someone to hold her....All the time." He laughed nervously. "And, I know that neither of us has a lot friends here besides each other, but that will not hold people back from finding out. This is a very dangerous game we're playing." He shook his head, "We can't jus go walking down the street with each other, you know? I'm sure if other hunters were here, they would kill both of us on the spot, despite my being a human and hunter." He stopped there, feeling that adding on too much detail would depress the both of them much more than Ophelia's words had depressed him.

Ophelia glanced down at her toes. She knew this would be a difficult relationship, but did it really matter so much? She knew that this wouldn't go over well at all with any of their species. But were vampires and humans so different? Ophelia didn't think so. She had theories of what the transition was from human to vampire...and how the vampiric race was born in the first place.
"Don't worry, this will all be fine...or at least I hope so." She smiled up at Galient. "If worse comes to worse and one of us ends up getting hurt...well, I'll have to stay home for a few days, I'd heal. However, if you get fataly wounded, I'll leave that choice up to you." It sounded creepy the way she said it, not on purpose of course. However, if he'd want to stay somewhat alive, she'd make him like her, but only if he wanted to. Ophelia took another swig of blood from her glass and set it down.
"I really don't think there's a huge difference between vampires and humans really. I think that vampires are just more primitive versions of humans really. It would make sense. Or at least to me it would." The subject really did intruige her. There was so much mystery involved in her own species she wasn't even sure she knew the true definition of the word. Ophelia had once met an ancient, as the vampire race called them. He was apparently over 50,000 years old, how that was possible, she didn't know, but it intruiged her still.
Ophelia let her hair loose from the tie and shook her head wildly, "I think we should stop talking about such depressing subjects," she stated as she threw her hair over her left shoulder and lend against the back of the couch. "Hmm...how about we ask questions...just simple questions about one another, I'm sure you're curious about a few things." Her eyes were filled with quizzitivity as she gazed back at Galient. She loved how everything about him just seem to flow, one warm feature after the next.

It was like she could read his thoughts. It was atonishing to him that they had so much in common, and that she always knew what to do when he was feeling something he didn't. Amazing, he thought, Ophelia, you're amazing. He sighed and smiled and sat back on the couch. He put his arm around her shoulders and began to think of the things he was most curious about. He couldn't make up his mind. He thought of asking her what her favorite color was. It seemed simple enough, but also too...insignificant. He pondered his thoughts.
"You go first. I'll probably come up with something while you're questioning me." He smled and stroked his hand through his hair, that at the moment was in front of his eyes. He looked at Ophelia like she was a goddess. A beautiful queen that he so much adored. He slid his free hand into hers and held it gently. His smile wasn't the ear-to-ear smile he usually had when he was happy, but it wasn't weak. It was his crooked smile still and he used his to his greatest power.

The blush returned to Ophelia's cheeks as his arm slipped over her small shoulders. She smiled as she leaned her head on his own shoulder so her head fit right under his chin. What was something she wanted to know about him? More like what didn't she want to know. Her mind buzzed with millions of questions.
Got it, she thought as she rested her chin on his shoulder so she could make eye contact with him. "Name the top five cities in the world you would want to vist." It wasn't really a question, but it's a piece of info that might come in handy one day. Ophelia always had an odd tendancy to tilt her head in such a way to make her look like a curious puppy. She smiled as he played with her hair and held her hand. The way he looked at her made her stomach drop a tad. You're just perfect aren't you Galient, she thought admiring his adorable crooked smile.

Galient thought about different cities of the world. He'd never payed much attention to where he went and where he stayed but he knew that where ever he was, he was always interested in its architecture and sights. He wanted to see the whole world, not just a few select cities. But he had to limit it down to five. He played with her hair as he adventured through his own thoughts. He thought of New Delhi. Wonderful place, he said to himself, never been, but it looks like a nice place to go. Next, he thought of New York City. He could possibly ask Ophelia if she would take him, after all, that was her hometown. Then he thought of Venice, Italy. He loved the look of it in pictures. The water and the boats. It was probably his number one to visit. Next he thought of Vancouver, Canada. It seemed like a nice place. Not too busy or too big. But Galient loved winter, and they definently got enough of snow. And lastly he thought of Blumenua, Brazil. He loved the colors of the rainforest in pictures he'd seen. He also loved exotic things, and Blumenau was absolutely exotic.
"Venice, Blumenau, New York," He smiled at her when he said New York, "New Delhi and Vancouver. In that order." He knew that he had taken awhile to ponder his thoughts, to find the places, well to her it must've been long, but it only took him 2 minuted tops to remember the places in his head. He took away the hand that was holding hers to get a drink of water and set the glass back on the table. He slipped his fingers into hers once more and he realized that after he had touched the glass, it made his fingers colder than hers. He laughed to himself once and the ironicality of it.

Ophelia smiled when he said New York. She could give him a tour, even stay in her old appartment. His choices were very interesting. Nice and exotic, just the way Ophelia liked it. "Nice choices, Venice is at the top of my list too. Followed closely by Tokyo, Monico, Prauge, and Milan." Ophelia tangled her fingers in his, trying to obsorb the coldness from the glass. "I've never been a fan of hot places, but hey, I've always wanted to go around the world, no matter the climate." She didn't realize how ironic she could be sometimes but when she did realize she always laughed at herself.
"And if you like, I could take you to New York someday. It's a huge city, and we can stay in my old appartment. Oh! You could meet my mentor." Ophelia had nearly forgotten about the vampire who found her. Illiana, her mentor, had found her in an alley after she killed her husband, Demetri, and lover, Edward. "She's not like most vampires, she believes in what I believe. But yeah, I could show you around the city if you like." If he couldn't tell, this excited Ophelia. In a single sentance she was bouncing up and down like a small child might, not literally, but vocally. She just couldn't peel the smile off her pretty, pale face.

He smiled and laughed at her anxiousness to go to New York. He put his two fingers, from the hand that was playing with her hair, onto her lips. "Okay, we can go if you stop talking so fast." He laughed again and took his fingers off of her lips. His fingers found they way to her chin and pushed her head up slightly so he could see her lips better. He kissed her pale mouth gently and laughed while doing it. She had been blushing, she was probably on fire at the moment. He squeezed her hand and found that she was holding tightly too. His hand that had been on her chin slid back to her neck and pulled her to him even more, if it were possible. He felt excitement and sparks and tingling all around him. Again, he felt that sensation where he was floating and she was holding the string that kept him from falling do the dark pit of despair he was flying freely above. He kissed her, more hard this time, more serious, and stopped laughing.
He didn't want to back away this time. He kept her face prssed to his and he was still holding her hand. He didn't want to let go of her hand either. He never wanted to dissever from her. He wanted her forever, that's what he felt. Who cared if she was a vampire? If he had been alive the same time she had been, he probably would've married her instead of that pig she was talking about. He could've made her happy. She wouldn't have met Edward. She wouldn't have been drowned and killed, then brought back to life by that man. Galient could have and would have saved her. He kissed Ophelia more passionately as he thought these things. He wanted her to have her life back. Or at least make her feel like things were that way...
