Ophelia nodded and giggled at his comment, then taken by a sweet surprise as he pulled her in for another kiss. Shivers rolled all over her skin. This was a different kiss from before. The last had been soft, comforting, and gentle. This one was filled with passion, desire, and yearning. Ophelia trembled a bit as she was pulled closer and closer by the second. Her face was nearly on fire from the blush on her cheeks, she'd look like a dark cherry if this kept up.
However, Ophelia returned the passion in his kiss, perhaps even more. She was a little reluctant to let go of his hand, but she was afraid she might be cutting off his circulation, so in order to remedy that she slipped her hand away from his and placed it on the side of his neck, her other hand slid to the back of his head, toying with his pitch black hair. She felt so small, yet so bold at this moment. Yet she didn't want to go too fast. Ophelia wanted to be closer, if that was even possible at this point. Her pulse had gone pounding again, he wondered if he could hear it...or even feel it. So this is what you to do me, Galient, you make me feel alive.

Galient wasn't suprised that she returned his passion. She seemed like the passionate type all along. So he was a little embarrassed that he wasn't. Why? he thought, why do you do this to me? He slid his free hand to her waist and pulled her into him. He thought of everything and nothing. He wanted nothing but for her to be happy, and by the quickness of her pulse, it seemed she was. Why was she so desirable that he could possibly go too far this very night. It was like he was a...he laughed to himself, vampire feeding on a human and couldn't stop. He'd heard some of those kinds of stories from the vampires he had slain. That they were under control of their thirst and once they taste or even see blood, they can't stop. Now he knew what it felt like. He felt sorry, oh so sorry for killing those vampires just for that reason.
Galient slid his hand, the one on her neck, to the small of her back and pulled her to him even closer. It seemed that he was almost on top of her. That wasn't one thing he wanted to do on their first night together. No, he thought, not this fast. He tried to stop, tried to pull back, but he couldn't. He felt a part of himself that didn't want to let go. A part of him that was filled with desire. Burning, burning desire. But he found the strength within him to back away from her. He kept his head away from hers at least 6 inches, but his hands were still attached to her waist and back, still pulling her to him. "Stop..." He said.

This was getting a tad out of control, Ophelia was on the edge of going insane. It was like the bloodlust, minus the blood. She wanted to make sure he was happy. She hated to admit it, but she had never gotten out of the habbit of being a people pleaser. Or rather, a loved one pleaser.
When he pulled away, she was reluctant to let go of his lips, but she was relieved. She didn't want to give that away quite yet. It was too early for that. What breath she had left was heavy and slow, quite the opposite of her heartbeat. Ophelia leaned his head against his shoulder and noded. So many things were rushing through her mind. How much he filled her...how much she wanted him to stay forever...How she just wanted to make him happy. Her heart sank a little, but she knew this needed to stop. It was far too fast and far too deep. "I'm sorry Galient", she whispered as she closed her eyes and nuzzled her forehead against his shoulder. "I'm sorry."

He lay his head against her shoulder and listened to both of their harshened breathing. He didn't, couldn't stay here. Not at Ophelia's house. This would happen, a lot. And one night he might not be able to stop himself. He might go too far and bring her along with him. It wouldn'y be right. It would just feel that way for the moment. He knew how to do that. He had never been stupid with girls. He'd had at least one or two girls... But he need not tell Ophelia this. She was the same. Two boys. Same, same. He looked up from Ophelia's shoulder to her face. It was sorrowful. "Don't say you're sorry. That was my fault. I should've stopped sooner." He looked back down and continued, "I shouldn't stay here, Ophelia. If this...were to happen every time I saw you, and you know it would, then I don't know if I could stop myself." He tilted his head back up to see her ice-blue eyes looking back at him. He wanted to smile, but he coudn't.
"I want to stay here, I really do, Ophelia. But I think it best if I were to stay at 'my house'. Or the hotel, I should say." He sighed as he saw the pity in her eyes, "I promise I'll be safe. No mischief, no trouble." He let go of her waist and put the other hand around onto her back. He embraced her. He trembled at te satisfaction it gave off, "I love you," He whispered passionately, "I love you." He said again and again by her ear. He kissed her hair each space in between the sentences. He felt the sensation once more, only his feelings were sad. It was because he was leaving. He knew it best, but he still wanted to stay. It kept on, saying 'I love you' louder each time. He repeated the words in his head. I love you, Ophelia. I love you, Roslyn Katrina Van Koehn. I love you, Ophelia Van Koehn. I love you more than words can describe. I love you more than air. More than life itself-- That's when his thoughts stopped. His actions kept going on, he still kissed hair and still spoke the words, but he thought of another way he could stay here and not be an endangerment to Ophelia. He could be changed. He could be Galient Latrec Irigatore, the vampire. The cold, dead vampire. He could live with her forever....
For this thought, he brushed his teeth on her neck, giving her hints. He thought it early for him to be thinking these thoughts, but he felt it logical to be asking about it. He kissed her neck, so much in a way it made him feel like he was tickling her neck. He had stopped saying 'I love you' and all he was doing now was dropping hints. He whispered, "Please," once, but he felt that it sounded a little creepy, so he only said it that once. He said no more and caressed her beautiful neck with his lips gently.

Ophelia's breath shuddered as he spoke these words. She didn't want him to leave. If he did, she'd only blame herself. What if I locked my room everynight? What if you stayed in the guest room? All of these what-if's floated throught her mind; her thoughts were cut short as he was pulled into his warm embrace. Her lips started trembling as he repeated himself over, and over, and over again. At first she questioned this...but each time he said those three small words, her stomach turned to knots. I love you far more than you could ever understand Galient, the thought circled in her mind each time she said that as her hands found their way around his back.
She believed him. "I love you more than you could ever know, Galient...please...don-" Her words were cut short as she felt his teeth on her neck. The kisses. And the thing that scared her completly was the "please". She knew what he was implying. Ophelia girpped the back of his shirt and her eyes widened in terror. She couldn't do it. She couldn't. Why? Don't throw your life away Galient. You don't want this. You don't I swear. All of these fears and thoughts of why he could want this spun in her mind. Ophelia's eyes began to tear up and she started shaking her head. Soon she was sobbing. Did he think this was the only way to make this work? She retracted her hands from his back to cover her mouth and leaned her head down. "I can't do this to you. I-" her crying made her take harsh breaths in the middle of her sentances. Ophelia looked back up at Galient, tears streaming form her blue eyes and whispered to him: "Galient...you do not want this."

He stared at her in horror. He'd made her cry. "I--uh--I--" He couldn't speak, his eyes were whirling. That one thought lingered in his head. I made her cry, he thought, I made her cry. He'd made her sob frantically. Spastically, even. Galient tried to find the words to speak, but just kept breathing heavily and his eyes were still panickly looking for a place to set them upon. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I just--' He stopped for a moment, "I just want to be with you. Forever." He meant it. He loved her, and he wanted to be with her forever. This seemed like it had gone too fast. This night had completely happened as if it were a lifetime. He grabbed onto Ophelia and held her in a warm hug. He held onto her tightly, not wanting to let go. His desire had been gone for awhile since the kiss, and he had no other want than to hold her. No kissing, nothing like that, and...no biting.
He thought maybe he should leave right then, let her be by herself, so she could figure out that maybe he wasn't right for her. That, maybe he was just...no, he thought. They were meant to be. Love at first sight was enough evidence to that. But, she needed to be alone. To think through what she should do about his wanting to be a vampire. And he needed to be alone, so he could possibly, for Ophelia's sake, rethink his situation. But, if he left, he would be alone, and so would she. She could get hurt, he thought. He wasn't worried about himself, because he only thought of her. Maybe he should stay. Maybe he should go. These thoughts ran through his head as he held onto Ophelia tightly in a loving and passionate pose.

This couldn't be happening. She had found the one person that wanted to stay with her until the end of the earth, and she wouldn't change him. Why? Because his life was precious. All life was really. True, vampirism was another form of life. It had it's pros and cons...but she knew the process was painful. You die, then you come back. The blood in your body was enthused with enzymes the vampire in question, could or could not release from their own fangs.
Ophelia's sobs were stifled a bit as he held her close again. Her breathing slowed down, so did her tears, but she didn't understand why he would want this. Living forever and never aging would seem to be great fun, even more so with the one you love. But would he really want to spend that with her? This whiny, bitchy, little blonde vampire who had a sob story that entailed her being very unfaithful. Her thoughts were spinning. She didn't want him to leave. Maybe if she could reason with him and tell him what it's like, he'd rethink it...for now at least.
"Galient...if I told you what it was like...would you rethink it?" Ophelia wiped the tears from her cheeks as she whispered this into his ear. "I love you very much, and you would make eternity barable...maybe even enjoyable, but I don't want you to waste your life on someone...like me."

He quickly put his hands on her shoulders andpulled her away so that he could look at her straight in the eyes. "It's not wasting time when you're with the one you love. I'm not wasting anything on you, Ophelia. I'm making memories, not wasting forgettable time. I won't rethink it, but I'll wait. I'm not going to wait until I'm thirty, hell no, but I will wait a year or two. For you." He looked at her and could feel that his eyebrows had furrowed atop his head. He didn't realize that she had missed a tear until he looked at her straight on. His eyebrows softened their intensity and he held up his hand and whiped the last tear that was right below her left eye.
He wanted to hold her again, but he couldn't talk seriously when she was in his arms. When she was in his arms it was like he was taken over by emotion. This way, away from her body, he could think straight. He could reply intelligently, and have gentleman-like movements. Instead the ones he had been doing and saying. He watched her intently, waiting for her answer or perhaps an action of her body to lead to an answer. He'd always been good at reading people's body reactions. He had to be, since he was a hunter. Galient dropped his head a little, because of his tiredness. It was late and he hadn't slept at all the night before. He was still very tired, but he stayed awake for Ophelia's sake.

Ophelia's eyes widened a bit as she was shoved back by him. She had to admit, he kind of scared her when he looked at her with such intencity. It was more than just a look, it was a glare, she knew he didn't mean to though. She wished he could explain his feelings for her. It made him want to throw his precious life away for her. Maddness, but if it's what he wanted, Ophelia will certainly put thought into it.
Ophelia gave a weak smile as he wiped the last tear away. She sighed softly and placed her face in her hands and rubbed her cheeks. As she looked up at him she whispered "I'll think about it, but you need to as well. You can't just decide on something so important on a whim my dear." He really did need to think this through. This would mean giving up a normal life...maybe even a family if he wanted one. However, there have been stories of vampires having children before. Her thoughts were trailing off again on to some odd tangent. She noticed his head droop in exhaustion and realized how tired she was too. "You need rest" Ophelia said in a sweet, soft voice as she carressed his cheek and leaned his head up gently to meet her soft smile. She leaned forward slowly and kissed his forehead with the uttmost care. "Do you want me to show you to the guest bedroom?"

Such a terrible question, he thought. It was simple, yes, but he had no idea what he wanted to do at the time. He decided upon his fate, only wanting to be here with Ophelia, "You can show me the guest bedroom." He said, nodding and smiling. He blinked slowly again, trying to open his eyes this time. He then realized he was more tired than he thought. He looked up at the staircase and frowned. He didn't know if he had the strength to climb them. He looked down and back up at Ophelia in one swift movement. He sighed while still smiling. He knew he would have to endure the weakness from lack of sleep.
As Ophelia took his hand and led him up the stairs, very carefully, he tried to keep his eyes open. He could feel the warmth of her hand, although he was the human. Her hair flipped wildly each step up. He tried to hide the longing to be burried in her sweet, silver blonde hair. He kept close to Ophelia, not wanting to fall asleep and if he did she would be there to wake him. It was true, Galient probably could sleep while climbing stairs. Who knew? he thought, it's possible. He'd fallen asleep standing up before, on a subway. It wasn't exactly the most comfortable place to sleep, but it got him enough strength to.... His thought trailed off. These thoughts kept him awake, not thinking about letting him eyes drift close while walking to the room. Then, suddenly, he absentmindedly thought of what he would do if he stayed in Dawson any longer. Without being changed, and even if he did, what would he do for a job? He could certainly not be a hunter any longer. That would be ridiculous. He thought about maybe working at a bar. That could work, he thought, only if I were a vampire, it wouldn't be beer I wanted, it would be the customers. And it was true, he wasn't exactly the strongest guy, even though he looked strong. He was actually quite scared on the inside. He was physically strong, but not emotionally. And for that reason, he was scared of this relationship. More scared than Ophelia could ever know.
