Ricky walked around the trees leading to wear he knew it would: Ophelia's cabin. He sought out the pathway to his own home, but had taken a wrong turn at the seen of a snake. Not a big one, he admitted to himself, but it was relatively scary although it could not kill Ricky. He had been such a baby about snakes, ever since he was a child he had been afraid of them. Why would being a vampire give him reason to not be terrified of them? With these thoughts, he took the most known path to him. The road to Ophelia's home. He sighed when he found himself standing approximately 27 yards from her house. He kept trying to tell himself he did not want to go closer. Not one step, not to check on her, not anything, but his feet disobeyed and walked toward the lone house. Ricky didn't struggle with his feet, he felt safe around her home. Perhaps, he thought, I could tell her I'm sorry for kissing her earlier. That would be wise, he told himself. He knocked on the door, but heard nothing but faint, yet heavy breathing from the upstairs bedroom.
He swallowed his pride and glided gently to the second story window. There were curtains in the way of his sight, but he could make out two shapes. A male, it seemed, was either killing or... Ricky stopped thinking. His mind went blank. Ophelia had had a boyfriend, and he had kissed her. What a fool he was, to think Ophelia was single. She was beautiful, a man would be foolish to think otherwise. He looked down below him to see the dewy grass a ways down. He turned his head to the moonlight and sighed again. "I guess it just wasn't meant to be, then, Ricky, eh?" He said to himself. He looked back in one more time through the window to make sure it was Ophelia and could still make out two silhouettes. A man, broad shoulders and had no figure, sat upon his heels to remove something. Ricky couldn't tell what it was exactly, and he didn't want to find out. Ricky looked below the man and squinted his eyes, to get a better look, and still could only see the silhouette of a girl. Nothing more that would give him fair proof that it was Ophelia. Although, Ricky was sure of himself that it was indeed her. There was only a small doubt within his mind that it wasn't. He bowed his head and gently floated to a few feet above the ground and lost control of his floating. He dropped to the ground, several feet from the grass, and yelped. He quickly covered his mouth, to muffle the screech. Hopefully, she didn't hear that, he thought quietly in his mind.
