With dark clouds looming high above they threatened to release countless rain drops to drench the world. The towering trees reminded Noran of his home in the Bavarian Forest, all the smells, sounds of animals brought back mighty torrents of nostalgia. The last time he got too see his homeland was well over twenty years ago in the fatherland. Night had finally settled in on the lands and the nocturnal beasts had finally come out play, much to their surprise they saw a man rapidly taking on wolf like features and shredding apart his clothes. There was a loud snapping sound and soon through the tree tops came a rather large tree branch. As the tree branch took more down with it soon was a rather large pile of branches heading for the ground beneath. Seeing a small wolf pup trying to limp away in fear Noran dropped to all fours and sprinted to the pup's rescue all that could be seen was a brown and gray blur. He had only enough time to through himself over the pup and take the damage from the branches. As soon as the dust floated back to the ground Noran pawed a way out and nudged the pup out with his nose. The human mind knew that the pup would not survive long out on it's own, the beast inside urged him to sprint on and just keep running till he collapsed the more logical human side won out and he picked up the pup by skin on the back of his neck and padded off into the distance looking for Elod and something to eat for his new companion.

Elod ducked under a few damp sweeping branches as he entered the woods. The gnarled twisted tree trunks gave a rather eerie feeling to the location, "Just my sort of place," Elod thought to himself contemplatively, gazing keenly through the dark shadow that enveloped the un-lighted area. He continued through the woods, stepping over particularly soggy patches of moist mud and decaying plant matter. No animals to be seen yet, likely they were deeper in the woods. As he spotted some elk tracks in the mud, Elod squatted down to take a closer look. these were fresh alright, couldn't have been made more than an hour ago, the scent was still fresh. A loud crashing cracking sound shot through the forest, causing Elod to startle, the noise had come from in front of him and to his left, he decided. Getting uncertainly to his feet again, he moved cautiously in it's direction to discern the cause of the chaos.

Sticking low to the ground Noran still with the wolf pup dangling from his mighty jaws moved swiftly and silently through the wooded area. Spotting a pair of elk tracks he paused to give them a sniff but the air was stagnant this night making it hard to catch a good scent anywhere. Soon he caught a scent coming his way, his first instinct was to prepare to lunge for the throat of what ever came forth his way. But he knew the scent to belong to a mister Elod. Putting the pup to rest on a thick but low hanging branch he whispered a single order. "Warten," Standing tall cloaked behind the trees he waited to say in his thick german accent when Elod was in earshot range, "You walk rather loud for a creature of the night, heh heh."

Elod continued cautiously forwards, avoiding disturbing a few spiders that had strung their homes between several nearby branches. The moonlight was just beginning to peek through the treetops and the thick, heavy clouds above, casting dappled silver patterns onto Elod's shoulders and hair as he walked. The forest was oddly quiet tonight, perhaps the animals were sheltering from the storm and hadn't yet emerged from their dens, he mused thoughtfully. Then the faint scent of a werewolf came to Elod's attention and he spun about, startled by Noran's sudden appearance. The man was like a ninja. Elod chuckled at the canine's comment on his lack of stealth, "I never was much good at hunting quietly...too used to prowling in noisy bars," he smiled with mild amusement.

"Well then it seems you could use a lesson or two in how to hunt brother." Feeling a small nip at his ankle Noran turned around and let out a low hiss telling the pup to back off before something more happens to him. Stepping from the shadows revealing his not to muscular frame but his muscles were as hard as steel. Brushing the pup out with his feet Noran laughed and said, "Look at what a little scamp I came upon. You wouldn't happen to be skilled in some sort of veterinary type area would you? This pup seems hurt and got left behind by his pack."

Elod smiled warmly "Perhaps I could." His attention was momentarily distracted however as he spotted a small wolf pup dawdling around Noran's legs. The youngster was scruffy looking and appeared to be injured but even Elod had to admit it was a little cute. "Unfortunately no," replied Elod, still watching the pup with a sense of curiosity, "I don't know very much about animals...I mean, aside from their history..." Elod trailed off as he decided it was probably a bad idea to bring up the topic, since his and Noran's opinions differed in that respect. He instead focused on a mental picture of the surrounding town, trying to remember if anywhere nearby helped animals.
