Stefans' eyes scanned the area. The council had warned his about a vampire going into bloodlust and killing a man. Probably a newborn. They never told him the location till just a few days ago. Stefan never thought he would end up in Dawson. The place where two of his best students now resided. He didn't ask for any more information than that. They actually didn't have much to give him. No name, appearance or anything worth remembering. Stefan ran a hand through his dark brown hair and rested his hand on his gun. These days guns seemed like the only thing to injure a vampire quickly. Stefan snorted. These days,it made him sound like he was 100 years old.
The Hunter took a small moment to imagine what he would look like as an 100 year old man and shuddered. Ew. Not a good image. Stefan looked aound. Everything was tree. Trees, trees and more trees! He liked open spaces better. With a sigh he stopped and went over everything that had happened recently. Okay,so far no creatures had attacked or shown themselves. So that must mean the vampire was either calm or doing another distracting activity. He had seen nobody in the forest, yet. His shoulders slumped slightly in annoyance and boredom. What this entire town dead?!

Elod strolled casually through the woods, he came here fairly frequently, it was usually quiet and peaceful and gave him somewhere good to think. The moon was very bright tonight, even a mortal would easily be able to see in the woods right now. Elod knew he would have had no problems even if it was pitch black due to his highly tuned vampire senses. His tawny yellow eyes scanned the woods casually, looking for somewhere comfortable to sit down. A human scent hit Elod's nostrils however, apparently there was at least one other individual out tonight. He had already eaten recently so didn't really feel the need to run into whoever this person was, but they were reasonably close by from the smell of it so an encounter might be unavoidable if he stayed. Elod paused to consider the risks for a moment. It wasn't very likely that it was a hunter, what were the chances of running into two hunters in such a short period of time after all, but still...he hesitated. It really bugged Elod that he didn't know what drove the hunters to kill vampires and werewolves. Perhaps they just didn't like the idea that they weren't at the top of the food chain; that must be it, Elod decided. Figuring he wasn't in much danger, he sat down on a nearby dead fallen tree and looked up at the midnight sky.

Joaquin was walking home from work, since he felt no need to keep a car when he could easily walk from home and work without getting killed. He could easily defend himself. He was a strapping young man. He smiled to himself as he realized another vampire was in the area. It was a slightly sour scent, but also sweet. Like Sour Patch Kids. He smirked and bit his lip. He followed the scent and to his surprise, saw a vampire sitting on a dead tree trunk. He lifted an eyebrow. He couldn't smell blood on him, but that didn't mean that he didn't hunt that way. He would make friends with him first. See if he was worthy of life or not. He crept slowly closer to the male vampire and smiled as he walked into the moonlight. "It's nice to finally see another one of us here. I thought I was completely alone here." He grinned dramatically and stopped walker closer. He didn't want to scare the poor fellow.

Stefan paused when he heard a voice. It sounded familiar but also had a twang of difference. Since the person seemed to be talknig to somebody he guess that there was another. He shrugged it off and decided to see who the voice was. He was considering what would happen if they was vampires. Hostile ones at that. He could fight them off easily. Rarely did he ever find a good challenge anymore. Stefan changed his direction but kept his hand at his weapons.
As he approached the voices he saw two figures. One was sitting while the other was standing. The standing one had broad shoulders but a well build body. Definitely male. The sitting one was thinner but seemed male too. He approached them, looking nonchalant. "Hello." Stefan said lightly. Although the air around him was calm and carefree he was highly alert to these beings.

Elod felt the hairs on the back of his neck bristle as if someone was watching him, then a man spoke. Elod looked over his shoulder with a start, giving the newcomer a suspicious and distrusting look, but he relaxed slightly when he saw the stranger was a vampire as well. "Yes, there's quite lot of vampires around here actually...I ran into two earlier today. There's at least one hunter around too though, he didn't look terribly threatening but still...best not to risk it," Elod shrugged, he hadn't been very scared of Ayre, but a hunter was still a hunter. "I'm Elod, Elod Springfield," Elod stated calmly, there was something weirdly familiar about this guy that he couldn't quite pinpoint, maybe he'd seen him somewhere around town before. At least this particular vampire seemed reasonably friendly, though Elod wasn't quick to trust anyone.
Once again the prickly feeling hit Elod, as if another person was there. He twisted about at the sound of yet another voice to spot a human. Humans almost never acted this calmly towards vampires, unless they were a hunter. Elod scanned the potential hunter's form, looking for any hunter weapons or any sign of danger. It was somewhat debatable whether he would be better off running, or staying here. Any sane hunter wouldn't challenge two vampires at once, would he? Elod may not be much of a fighter but perhaps he could bluff his way out of this. "Hello," Elod replied back, fixating the man with a cool gaze. He wasn't going to let on that his heart was pumping with adrenaline and he was feeling extremely nervous right now, he'd just act as if this was all in a normal day, like he faced hunters all the time and they were no big deal.

Joaquin looked up at the man who had greeted them as oddly as he had greeted this young vampire. He turned to him and smiled, noticing he was a human. A hunter, obviously. He knew that unnaturally confident air around him. He had had that confidence when he was still alive. "Hello there." he said. He wasn't scared of him. Perhaps if he tried to strike them, he could reason with him that he was a vampire for the greater good. He held out his hand. It was an idiotic move, but it would show that he wasn't afraid of him. "I'm Joaquin Tristansi. And you are?" He didn't want to show weakness, but he wanted to, for some reason, tell this man his name. Even in front of another stranger who he'd never met in his unlife.

Stefan turned to Elod and smiled gently he then turned to the other man. When the man told him his name Stefan was surprised. not by the first name but by the last. He shook the man's hand then spoke. "Tell me, Mr. Tristansi. Do you have a son?"Stefan had no idea how he didn't see it in the first place. They looked almost exactly the same. They both had the same face and broad shoulders. If his father was here did that mean Ayre himself was here? He remembered hearing the sad tail of Ayre's past. So no doubt his father was a vampire. Did he feed from a different source than humans themselves. He had heard of a few vampires doing that. Those must have beent he ones that had serious consideration for the human life.

Elod looked back and forward between the two, sporting a puzzled expression. The hunter that had just appeared was acting as if he knew Joaquin, or someone related to him. All this apparent connection between various people he had met today was starting to make his brain hurt from trying to keep it all straight. Could Joaquin be related to Ayre? Now that he thought about it they shared a certain family resemblance, maybe Ayre was the son the hunter was talking about. What an interesting day, or rather night this was turning out to be. Of course, there was the possibility that Ayre had been killed by Ricky, Elod imagined this would cause some tension and if it did he intended to avoid it. Unable to contain his curiosity any longer, he popped the question, "Would you happen to be talking about a hunter called Ayre? I ran into him earlier today...he was fighting with another vampire."

Joaquin's mouth practically dropped to the ground as he heard Ayre's name. They knew his son! he had been searching on the side of his two jobs, and now without even trying, he'd found him! But then again, he was fighting a vampire. He could be dead. But he was a hunter, so if he had the same instincts as Joaquin, he would live. Especially if he had healing like his father. Quick and painless. Joaquin smiled and nodded. "Yes, I do. Ayre..." He scracthed his head and chuckled. Joaquin turned to the hunter. "Tell me, what is he like,-- I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." He smiled and gave a warm and wholesome look to Stefan, then turned to Elod. "Was he winning? Did he have brilliant relflexes? Did he have strength and agility? Did you see him slay the vampire?" He couldn't believe he was talking so quickly. He was so excited! Ayre! His son was here, in Dawson! After three months, he hadn't even known Ayre was here! Ayre was here! He couldn't stop thinking it. Ayre was here!

Stefan ran a hand through his hair and chuckled. Ayre was just like his father. "My name is Stefan Joangrogri. I was your son's mentor for being a Hunter,"He said. So now Stefan knew that Ayre was in town which meant Galient most likely was too. When those two were together usually all hell broke loose. He remembered when Galient was a teenager and Ayre was a just at the age of a young adult they had some kind of sleepover type thing and almost burned His house down. Stefan, himself, had almost kicked the two of them in the face for being so careless but in the end they all broke out into laughter over something stupid. Good times. He looked over to Elod then back at Joaquin who was almost prancing up and down he was so excited. Like father, like son.
