Stefan's eyes widened in surprise and he stepped back fumbling for his gun. He clicked the trigger to find no bullets in it. Quickly casting it aside he pulled a knife from his belt and prepared himself for Galient's attack. "That's only because you could have reached a higher potential. Ayre had gone as high as he could and we both knew it. But you...you could have gone higher!" He gritted his teeth and thrusted the knife forward, also throwing his weight towards Galient. Although it would be like throwing himself at a brick wall it could slow him down a bit. "But now I've never been more ashamed of you. You've turned into the exact thing that killed your family, Galient. Is that what you want?!" Stefan could see it in his eyes. There was something different from any vampire he had ever seen or fought against. He had to end this quickly before Ayre or Ophelia decided to show up because if that happened he would be dead meat. Not only that he had to worry about Joaquin. Galient was right. Joaquin was probably the only one he wouldn't--couldn't-- kill. Not only that but what if he ran to fetch Ophelia and Ayre? There would be no way in which he could escape alive. Stefan gritted his teeth once more, keeping his sharp gaze on Galient.

Galient bounced back, his fangs practically protruding through his lips, the blood from his own mouth seeping into his mouth. He growled again, his eyes set on Stefan. "I am nothing like those damn vampires! They ruined--" Galient sputtered, jumping forward again, "They destroyed everything that mattered to me! In front of my very eyes!" Galient threw his fist down onto Stefan's jaw, and he grasped onto the man's hair, pulling back his head, displaying his neck perfectly, his grip on Stefan's dark, black hair too harsh to pull away from. Then Joaquin began to run to his right, into the woods, yelling behind his shoulder, "I'm going to get Ayre!" And then he was gone, his pace too fast for Galient to catch onto. Galient turned to Stefan, whispering softly into his ear, menacingly, "You hear that? Looks like you're going to be completely outnumbered," Galient scoffed and dug his nails deep into Stefan's neck, his hand grasping there tightly, "Master.." And then Galient lowered his fangs, peircing Stefan's neck harshly, ripping huge gashes into the side of his throat.

A roar of pain rose in Stefan's throat, coming out only as a gargle at first before erupting. Never in any of his years had he ever been bitten so he had never known the pain. Now that he did he never wanted to experience it again. It felt like somebody had taken hot pinchers and peeled off chunks of his flesh in his neck. Stefan gritted his teeth, grunting from the pain and reaching up, trying to tear Galient away from himself. He could feel the hot blood pouring forth from the wounds, soaking into his shirt. This was bad. Stefan tried pulling away from Galients grasp but it was too tight. "Are you going to kill me now?" He asked, struggling harshly. Wait, he was being to hasty. Although the burning pain was fogging up his mind a bit. Stefan suddenly laughed sharply and began muttering taunts to Galient. Meanwhile his free hands grabbed the small can of butane on his belt and the box of matches. "Never leave an enemy with open arms while close range Galient. We spent a lot of time on this back then." Stefan popped open the lid to the butane can and splashed as much on Galient as he could before lighting the match and dragging it along Galient's clothes, hoping that the flame would catch somewhere on his body.
