I can see death. It's staring back at me in the mirror She walked quietly, there was no game out tonight...not yet anyway. She hadn't had anyone call her up and tell her that she could come along and fight the winners fight. No...she was just walking. The ally ways were always a nice place for just walking. You know, quiet...ready for anything. She could hear her own heart racing, racing faster than anything she'd ever heard. What do you expect? Dressed in black, tight black might she add, and walking along the streets. How could anyone believe she was serious? Well she looked pretty serious with the gun hovering at her side. She felt pretty serious when she looked at herself in the mirror. So far it seemed she was, serious...
Yet still passerby looked upon her like a freak. Who stalked the night in leather? Not many people. But she was walking with a purpose. Some sort of game, something to test her new weapons on. Her new bullets, both species needed to take a lesson in the developments of the human technology. She loaded her gun with the UV lights, well they were special. She had yet to figure out how to kill any of these creatures. But she could wound them, and that was already a start. If she could wound them she could take some of their DNA and even if she was by far luckier, she'd get the whole being. But one could only be so lucky, that was for sure.
She brushed the brown wig hair from her face as she moved along. It was far too quiet lately, what was going on? Were they really being so cautious? How could beasts be cautious? Sure they had intelligent thought, but lets not give them too much credit. She looked at the glowing capsules in the spare clip, the hold water tips sloshing around for a few moments. She hoped they didn't explode in the gun...that would be utterly pointless. The holy water was really the new addition. If she could burn them and get the holy water in their system, bingo. Her gaze fluttered upward, was that a sound? No...just a cat.
"Hey there Kitty..." she muttered, extending her hand to the stray on the trash can. "You wouldn't happen to have seen some mean ol'critters around here...have you...?" [/blockquote]

I'm not as cautious as I used to be. And for my life, I risk it.She had to be swift. To be honest this was no time for such foolery. It was getting out of hand. The amount of injured was slowly sky rocketing. Not to mention she feared for her own safety. It was a sad fact of life but it was never one that she would deny. Walking quickly down the street, her movements barely making a sound on the cobble stone path. If anything she would talk out this matter. But since when did hunters ever want to speak? Talk. Negotiate even. She knew she'd be lucky if she managed to leave the conversation unscathed. But no longer could she stand idle and watch her people get hurt. People were telling her this was far beyond her control, but she refused to back down. Nothing was out of her control till she tempted it.
She had little information on the hunter, just that she was dark, fast, and smelled of burning cedar. The smell was an awkward one at that, and it indeed agitated her senses. A wolfs instinct when smelling burning wood is to run from that burning wood. Like escaping a forest fire, the hunter most like meant this...to ward off the wolves so it could find them. Sophia shook her head, letting the fumes pass her by as she continued on. She'd get this hunter yet. She was close, and the burning sent was recent, she'd have to be on her guard from here on out, that was for sure. She wasn't going to let someone get the better of her, not after all the hype about her being a bad leader. She wasn't going to let this slide, not after that.
A voice echoed far in the distance but none the less echoed. She slowly continued her steps, it wouldn't be smart to take a wolf's approach on this if she wanted to get shot. But turning the corner to see the woman in dark clothing and hair she frowned, didn't look so tough. But she had learned not to judge a book by it's cover. She raised her hands in case she had startled her. "I'm not here to do you any harm." the woman chided in her deep powerful voice. "I just...want to talk." how could she expect a hunter to be reasonable. They were either vengeance filled or greedy...this would prove to be hard...

I can see death. It's staring back at me in the mirror It was a bad idea for her not to be paying attention. Sure she had her moments where you know, she could be easily distracted. But she usually was right on mark when she was on the job. She smiled down at the kitten, having a fond little memory with it at that moment. She was having that slight idea that one day everything would be better, the races would all be done for and humans would reign supreme...of course...that was all in the not so distant future. She stopped petting the cat when she heard something. Was someone approaching? She turned her back to the alley way and face out, looking around the partially empty streets. Not everyone was out at this hour and there were only a few cars zipping back and forth. Hm...may be another cat?
She lowered her gun again before the woman spoke. She froze, but quickly turned around. She wanted to talk? About what, who was this woman? She held the gun behind her back, she couldn't make assumptions, "Talk?" the Hunter narrowed her eyes. Talk about what? Hm...She wondered if she knew this person, she could barely see in the dark alley way...Could this be someone of either side? She frowned, fastening her grip on the gun and pulling it around to the front. As a scientist she had to deduct. She wanted to talk, and that meant she knew what Mary was doing...and if she knew what Mary was doing then she had to be someone of either side. If she was someone of either side that was concerned about what Mary was doing, she couldn't be a Vampire, Vampire's traveled alone unless otherwise decided in pairs. She'd yet to run into a pair...So this meant...
She raised her gun, "Don't move, mongrel." she growled. Werewolves were no better, she was sure the Vampires and them had some treaty or something. She saw them that day in the hospital, dragging people away by the throats [which she couldn't tell at that age were vampires.]. She didn't want to talk now, she wanted to blow the woman's head off and get it done...ah but she had UV clips in her gun. She couldn't falter. She gripped the gun, adjusting her hands, she had no choice. "Why do you want to talk?"

She didn’t mean to startle her, but it was apparent that she did, and Sophia raised her hands slowly. The woman was armed and there was no need for a fight to break out. The Hunter hid the gun behind her back, still believing Sophia to be a civilian. She nodded her head, talk, she wanted to converse the situation that they were in. She needed to know what grounds the woman stood on, perhaps her blood thirst was a misunderstanding. She was a passive person why it came to the affairs of the humans, she could easily snap the woman’s neck and be done with it, but that wasn’t Sophia’s way of doing things. She stepped forward into the light a little, her golden eyes flickering with a bit of worry and concern. Things could go very wrong very fast, if she made one wrong move it’d be her life. She could feel her own heart racing, never before had she had to confront these sorts of people. Hunters were so hard to find, but this one…this one lived here. She could smell it on her way over. ”Yes. I just want to talk, no fighting.”
She tensed when the woman raised the gun. She was ready to pounce if necessary, but only in defense and only if she really had to. She wouldn’t hurt the Hunter unless she had to. She did as told, never wavering in the position with her arms raised. Most werewolves may have scowled at how ridiculous she was. She was the Alpha, why was she obeying a puny human’s rules. She could smell the silver on the woman’s person, and she didn’t want to aggravate her enough so that the woman would indeed take the bullets out on her. Silver was a bitch. To put it blatantly, she took a deep breathe before the woman offered a chance to talk, never lowering the gun. At least she had a chance to speak what was on her mind. ”You’re killing my people, you do know this.” she said very calmly, her eyes flickering from the gun to the woman. It was a stupid statement to make, but she had to make sure they were on the same page. ”Innocent as day. My people have done nothing to harm you, and yet you’re hunting them like deer.” she said very sternly. Her enlarged wolf like canine’s were shown as she talked. She looked at the apartment complexes that surrounded them. She wondered how far Mary was from her home, ”I’m asking you to stop…I don’t know why you’re killing people, but stop.” she said with warning admitting from her tone. ”I don’t…want you getting hurt.” the Vampire lord was rather civil, sane even. But her lower branches were not, as were for some of Sophia’s men.
”I don’t want this to turn into something terrible. I only wish to keep the peace. We can all live in harmony.” she offered. It didn’t look like the hunter was willing to buckle because Sophia came in saying ‘Hey, stop.’. She saw her breathe escape into the night air and she fear for the worst. ”I don’t want something terrible happening to you.” that sounded a little more threatening than she had…truly intended.

I can see death. It's staring back at me in the mirror Mary's eyes wandered to Sophia's hands, no fighting? That's what she wanted, why did she not believe that. Besides, if she lowered her gun the wolf could get her in a split second. There was no need to lower her guard because someone told her to do so. That was stupid, and she wasn't an idiot, not for the life of her. Not to mention the woman was nearly gorgeous. But that's how most of the immortal beings were. The didn't age, so they always looked their best. Mary was human and would age accordingly. There was no special way to kill her, just...doing it. Mary glanced back at her apartment just down the street. Not that anyone would recognize her in this get up, but she didn't want her house to end up more trashed that it already was. "Fine. I'm listening." she kept the gun stiffly in place. "For the most part." her hands gripped the gun firmly.
She was killing people? They weren't people they were monsters! Vicious drooling murderous monsters! She wasn't going to believe any of this 'innocent people' crap. So she laughed, she really just laughed her head off when the woman started talking. "Your joking right?" her laugh grew sarcastic. "You. Being innocent as day! Haha!" she shook her head, "Don't play me for a fool. I know what you are. You're a monster. A menace to society." she growled heavily. The sound of her gun's safety clicking was a tall tale sight that Mary was done listening to Sophia's banter. Her eyes narrowed at the playing field. The UV bullets wouldn't effect Sophia greatly but they'd slow her down a HECK of a lot. They were one step above normal bullets. Her cells were still cells, they would react badly to the UV lights...she'd just get over it later. But it'd give Mary enough time to change bullets or get the hell out of there. Where the latter seemed like the best plan. She couldn't reload her gun under pressure, and if her calculations were correct...this was the Dictator, the leader, Alpha female. She was...trying to keep the peace.
"I'm going to get hurt? Tsh, look in the mirror tomorrow and tell me who got hurt." without much hesitation the gun rang off several shots. Quantity more than accuracy and then Mary started running, she flipped around the corner and leaned over it continuing her fire upon the half breed that stood no more than a few feet back.

Sophia should have known better than to trust the Hunter. It was plain as day. The way she moved and crept there was just something about it that made everything she did unbelievable. She didn’t smell all that nice either. The human’s heart was racing and Sophia suddenly knew that any wrong moves may end in her life. Though she could smell silver on her person she had no idea of the gun was loaded with it. She had never met a hunter that was unarmed, and it wouldn’t be wise to take her chances. She lowered her hands slowly. ”Partial listening is good enough for me.” the peaceful leader admitted with a gesture of her hands. She slowly took a breathe, she needed to get the explanation out in one sweep or the human would merely throw it back in her face.
Of course she was going to do that anyway. She cringed at the laugh, ”I’m being perfectly serious.” she said with her gaze turning downward. Clearly this wasn’t working. The laughs grew more sarcastic and unbelievable. Then the name calling induced and she wasn’t buying a cent. She put a shaky hand to her forehead, ”There is no need for this…name calling.” she muttered harshly, ”I just don’t want anymore of my people dead! They’ve done nothing to harm you whatsoever and you’re killing them!” she hollered viciously. Okay, so her temper was short, she couldn’t help it sometimes. She withdrew her anger and held out a hand, ”Please. I’m not here to hurt you. I just want peace.” she wasn’t going to fight even if the Hunter looked like she was. She couldn’t recall what it was, but the girl was on edge. She titled her head to the side, whatever did they do to hurt this woman.
The first bullet hit, and she was stunned slightly. The ultra violet liquid was destroying the cell matter in her arm. Not fatal, but it hurt…and it wasn’t going to be easy to heal. The regeneration process required healthy cells around it to regenerate. With the UV poisoning the cells as it leaked into her arm, it wasn’t going to recover quickly. She had to be swift, but another three got her in the other arm, and one in the stomach…in the leg. Transforming into the larger brown wolf she rand down the ally, dodging more bullets and trash cans as she looked for some sort of shelter. She felt a few shots hit her other leg and she skitter for cover, turning back into the human she was. Clothing torn, her shirt was torn so it was at her hip, her shirt was in pieces and barely covering anything and she was bleeding. She put a hand to her stomach and noticed that her flesh looked black and cooked, cells dying rapidly…
Damn Hunters.

I can see death. It's staring back at me in the mirror She laughed again. ”Keep being serious, sister.” Mary snapped. So unconditional to the average quite girl that hid behind her notes. But she was done behind that innocent one, she smirked wildly at the woman. Come on, give me a reason. Was the only thought on her mind, give her a reason to mess this girl up. She wiggled her fingers, eyes flashing devilishly at the woman before her. Did she even know who she was dealing with? ”I regret, nothing.” she said holding the gun tightly. Her eyes narrowed, she was done listening, that was for sure. Breathing heavily she fumbled for her silver bullets, but when she turned her head around the corner she’d turned into the wolf. She quickly loaded the gun with the silver, dropping the casing only once before she locked it in, but the animal was retreating and she fired after it. ”Face me you coward!” the hunter hollered. She gripped the gun, the dark strands of the wig falling in her face. Ran away, like the dog she was. Damn. Straight. She turned, she’d just go home…She glanced behind her backing out of the alley way before darting off quickly.
