It was the first night Ophelia decided to investigate the town. So far she thought it was nice and quaint. It was a clear night: the moon was out, the wind was brisk, and the sounds of the town surrounded the small park. True, this small area of green was no central park, but it was better than nothing at all. She carried her violin with her as she slinked down the path venturing down to the pond, her boots tapping as she walked along the cobble stones.
She spotted a lone bench by the water and made a beeline for it. Letting out a small sigh as she sat down, Ophelia pulled the case on to her lap. The lock clicked open to her beautiful instrument. It was made especially for her from dark cherry wood when she lived in New York years ago. The light from the lamp post rippled across the finished wood as she picked it up and setting the case back on the ground, sliding her bow across the strings.
She started to play a song she had recently learned called "Field of Stars" by Oliver Schroer. Every time she heard this piece, her skin was set a blaze with goosebumps and mind set to another place. Music flowed from her instrument and flooded the area, Ophelia didn't realize how loud she was playing; she was in another world entirely.

Her goal had been to head downtown to the club. Alexandria really missed the company of males and had hoped to hook up with one. Her high hopes for the evening had fallen flat for three reasons, the club was nearly empty, some thirty-nine year old loud mouthed blonde had decided to befriend her, thus running away all the guys that were there, and the bartender didn't believe that she was even eighteen. She was nineteen. He said her ID was a fake and refused to serve her.
Needless to say, she did not like this. She got a little angry and may have threatend him, resulting in her removal from the club while the brunette was screaming at the bouncer to 'get his filthy hands off the innocent little girl who'd done nothing but be a little misguided. It wasn't her fault she felt she needed alcohal, her parents were probably crack heads who beat her.' Could it get any worse?
Alexandria, her eyes flaring, shoved away. "Fuck my life sideways. Do not touch me, I am fucking leaving myself. You people are insane." She growled. When the bouncer did not let go, she dug her nails into his wrist. "I would suggest that you let go." She hissed in a low voice. He yelped and jumped back. Without another word, the fuming wolf left the club and went for a walk to calm herself. That is when she heard music. It was loud and intruiguing. She followed the sound. The music was coming from park and whe she rounded a bush to where it was originated, she stopped short. Vampire. Rocking back onto her heels, she hissed,
"Evening, Vampire."

In a single phrase, Ophelia's world of content and music crumbled back to reality. Her bow skidded to a hault across the metal strings and she looked up to the path, to find a young woman who she could plainly identify as a werewolf. She had nothing against anyone of a different species than her, however she would be wary of this one, obviously something had set her off.
Setting her violin down on her lap she bowed her head in respect and responded in her calm, low voice "Good evening." Truth be told, Ophelia was nerveous. Being the new comer, she rather not intrude in anyone's territory. She wanted no trouble, she hadn't done anything wrong, that she knows of and was prepared to leave if she must.

Alexandria's shoulders stiffened and she straightened her spine, bringing herself up to every inch she had. To bad she was still pretty short. "I... I like your music." She said stiffly as she ran a hand through her flaming hair. She didn't even know why she was complimenting the vampire. Werewolves and vampires were sworn enemies. ... Yet here she was. If she had been at all smart, she would have high-tailed it out the there the moment she that the woman was a vampire. No one had ever accused her of being wholly smart. She shook her head.
"It was... loud. I could hear it from the club over there." Alexandria muttered, offering a slight explanation as to why she just showed up from behind a bush. She wanted the vampire to continue to play. It was pretty, the music was. It was almost soothing as well. But she didn't dare tell her that she wanted the music to continue. That was just something not done between vampires sare werewolves. It was some stupid unspoken rule. Sophia would kill her if she knew she had been fraternizing with the enemy.
Sophia didn't have to know. Alex was fighting with herself and it was giving her a headache. So, to stop, she sat on the grass, waiting to see what would happen next between her and the vampire. She trusted that the vampire was safe... to an extent. Her... hackles were still up, so to say, but she was taking a huge risk all the same.

Ophelia's eyebrows raised. She didn't understand why this being had decided to come here. She shruged and retorted: "Then please excuse the loudness, I'll pack up and be out of your way." This was very unsettling to her, she didn't know anything about this ridiculously small town, but she knew she wasn't alone at least. Wrong species, though not alone.
Pulling the case back on to her lap, she set the dark red violin and bow back inside. She rose to her feet gracefully and started up the path from the pond to the road way, turning her back on the redheaded wolf.
Perhaps this is a bad idea, she thought. It's not very wise to turn your back on a creature that has a reputation for being quite hostile. But then again, she continued in her head, I too, am a creature that has a reputation for being hostile.

Alexandria shrugged from her spot on the grass. She slowly watched at the vampire packed her violin into the case and made to walk away. In a flash, she was on her feet. "Don't go." She mumbled, reaching out but quickly drawing her hand back. She cross her arms across her body, holding them back from betraying her again. She was betraying herself. Her soul wanted to hear more music but her brain was telling her to run. She needed to run away fast. Get away from the vampire. Don't fraternize with the enemy.
Ha. Enemy. Was this vampire really an enemy? Did she try to kill Alexandria? Did she have any ill intentions? No. She was leaving. There was nothing enemy like about this creature. Alexandria sniffed slightly, breathing in the scent of the night air. It smelled like spring. It smelled like things were growing and the world was repairing itself. "I meant nothing by saying it was loud. I found no.. offense in the volume." She said softly, her voice betraying her again. Fraternize. Fraternizing with the enemy. She was so not very smart.
Sophia was going to kill her dead. "Why don't you stay? I don't want to run you out of here. You were here first." Alexandria said, swallowing hard.

Ophelia stopped and gave a slight glance behind her. Music soothed the savage beast? She thought to herself, I'm one to talk. She turned on the heal of her boot and slowly made her way back to the bench, sitting the case on the wood. Stepping forward slowly, she extended her hand to the shewolf for a handshake. A perfectly civil thing, she thought of the wolf. She remembered an encounter with a werewolf back in New York. She was pretty friendly, she thought again, hopefully she'll be the same.
"My name's Ophelia," she mumbled, her mother had always said to be curtious and kind to anyone whom you do not know yet. Hopefully, this person would be friend, or at least an aquatence. Maybe, just maybe this person could tell her a tad more about her surroundings.

The point of this errand, he thought, was to make sure that this animal was being hunted and killed. Yet, here he was, in the middle of an unknown park, strolling around like an idiot. He had gotten himself lost. That's what I get, he thought again, for walking around this late at night on my second night here. He growled quietly and turned to see if he could see anything beyond the fog that covered the ground. Nothing was in sight...except for a couple of shapes by a bench he had passed a few hours ago. He squinted his eyes and realized that he was very confused at this encounter he was witnessing.
There was a Vampire and a Werewolf speaking together.
How interesting, he thought. He had never been against Werewolves, but Vampires had always been his sworn enemy from the beggining because of his family's murder. He loved to remind himself of the hatred he had for Vampires and the love he had for Werewolves because they were enemies. How weird I must look, he said to himself, standing here, watching these two women talk in the midst of a park of a town that I've only been in for two days. Not even for a solid reason, either. He was here to hunt and nothing else. He was stupid to follow the blonde Vampire here, he said dissapprovingly in his mind, I shouldn't have come.
Just as he turned away, not a good choice, considering the people behind him, he felt a cold chill run down his spine. It was as if he knew something bad was about to happen. That's when he tripped on the large stick that was laying in the pathway of his feet. Damn it, he growled in his head.

In that instant something caught Ophelia's attention. Smelling the air she could tell this creature was human...but also with the scent of blood that could never fully be igstinguished. Could it be a hunter? The thought whispered in her mind. Her hand dropped from the air to greet the werewolf in distraction and simply whispered to her "I think we have company."
Turning towards the strong sanguine scent, she called out "What business have you here?" Ophelia didn't expect an answer. She threw her blonde hair over her shoulder and pulled the coller of her black trench coat up, giving it a Count Dracula affect. How long has this person been standing there? Was he trailing me? Or her? she wondered. She wasn't willing to leave the werewolf or her precious violin for some being that might be wanting to kill her. Just in case she called out again "I haven't killed anyone in at least 100 years...the shewolf doesn't smell so strongly of blood as you do. Stop playing in the mist and show yourself."

Galient closed his eyes, knowing he had been noticed by the Vampire with the silvery blonde hair. He sighed roughly and stood, turned and stared at the beast. He thought it rude to call back to her, like a kind greeting of some sort, and he felt no obligation to be kind to a creature such as this. He walked toward the blonde vampire, feeling dread weighing down his body as he realized what he was about to do and what the consequence could be if this greeting went wrong. He stopped a few feet from the dark monster.
"My name is Galient." He said galantly, "And you are, madmoiselle?" He knew that his charm could only be used for a moment, but it wasted time for him. Maybe he could distract the Vampire, and kill her when she looked away. He gripped his hand on the back pocket of his jeans, there was no gun, stake or knife anywhere. He had no way to harm this creature of the night.
