Galient stepped into the living room to get away from Ayre's scent for a moment. It was getting hard to resist him. He was starting to smell like a pastry...one of the ones that they sold in the windows of the bakeries. The ones filled with delicious red jelly that tasted like strawberries or cherries. The ones with proud and plump white icing in the forms of flowers or hearts or other strange shapes or writings. Galient shook his head. He shouldn't be thinking about what Ayre's blood tasted like. It would only make him more thirsty. He glanced at the kitchen. Time for a refill. He stepped into it and opened the refridgerator and gulped down a packet of blood, not a drop on his face. He ad gotten better as he had matured from only a couple of weeks ago. Had it really been that short? It seemed like a century. He guessed it would take some getting used to that he would be alive for as long as he could defend himself. Which could be forever with his strength from hunter training. It was like he had the potential to be an invincible vampire. He glanced upward. Well, he could be if Ayre would stop guilt-tripping him. He felt so bad now for changing. He didn't think anyone was looking for him. That anyone would even care that he left. But now...Syre was here. And Galient had committed the worst sin a hunter could commit. Any hunter who did would go on trial, whether he liked it or not. And now it seemed that it all depended on if Ayre told the council for hunters that he was a vampire or not. He could simply say he was dead. But Galient, knowing Ayre, would surely be on trial within a week if Ayre got paper and a pencil. He would send a letter or an e-mail and he would be dead. Permanently.

Ayre groaned slightly. Damn it all. He hurt like a...Ayre couldn't even finish the sentence. He sat up,regretting it. Ayrw retched the pain was so bad. Luckily nothing came out just air. He coughed and clenched his teeth. Ayre felt mad. Why? He wasn't quite sure but he was only mad at himself. Not anybody else but himself. He grabbed the closest thing to him, a table, and lifted himself up. He took the first step, pain shooting up his body. Ayre gasped slightly and continued walking. This house was unfamiliar to him. Not that he was paying attention to interior decoration or anything. Ayre let his hand trail the wall. He felt like somebody had put him through a streamroller than stretched him out. Ayre stopped at a room and leaned in the doorway. a familiar figure stood there. "Whose house are we in,Galient?" Ayre asked, waiting for the worst possible answer that he could think of. Ayre clutched the doorway and stood looking at Galient like a haggard old man.

Galient glanced back at the doorway and saw Ayre. He rushed to his side. "Are you able to move alright?" he asked, concerned clearly. He swallowed, gulping the last of the blood in his mouth. He looked at Ayre's wounds. His stomasch wasn't as bad as Galient had thought it would be if he got up. He had started bleeding again, but that was expected. And of course he didn't notice, because the medicine he had given him should have numbed every muscle in his abdomen. Galient stared at him in the eyes as he answered. "Now don't get angry...but we're in Ophelia's home. I don't have one of my own, so I thought it would be better to bring you here than a nasty hospital. I know how much you hate them, so..." Galient shrugged and tried to fake a smile. He gently shoved Ayre onto the first step of the staircase. Maybe he could get him back up before he would have any time to react to where he was. That would be the best imracle that would have happened to Galient that day.

Ayre's eyes widened. "You brought me here?! Are you crazy! What's wrong with you?"He freaked out. Acting like usual. "I'm fine! But...but!"He didn't even finish. Ayre sighed dramatically and stubbornly stood against the stairs. His brow furrowed and he looked down. His panic attack was over for now. "Eh...thanks for helping me Galient...."Ayre muttered gruffly. Despite Galient being a vampire Ayre realized that he couldn't hate his best friend but it didn't mean he was over it or happy about it. Ayre then noticed something. He looked down at his stomach. "The bone? What happened to it??" Ayre asked. The last time he saw it the bone had been jutting from his stomach but it wasn't there anymore. Ayre closed his eyes for a moment then opened him. Nope not a dream. Everything was still the same. Ayre leaned against the wall and looked at Galient. "We both have a lot of explaining to do..."He mumbled, slightly.

Galient nodded. "I patched it up. Ophelia's been gone for awhile. I don't know when she'll be back. But when I patched up your stomach, I had drugged you so badly, it was like you were dead." He laughed at the joke, then realized it wasn't that funny. Ayre could clearly have been dead if Galient hadn't heard him. "But I pushed it in and the only sound yuo made was a grunt. It didn't seem like it hurt you at all. I popped it back into place and that was it. The rest of you seemed to be healing quite nicely." Galient shrugged and smiled, admiring his work on Ayre's stomach, it patched up with bandages. Ayre's chest was also bandaged, but that was for Galient and Ophelia's sake. So they qouldn't stare at the blood pumping in his chest. So temptation wouldn't get the best of them. Galient patted his friend on the back gently. "C'mon," he said casually, "Before you bleed all over the floor and get yourself in a heaping of trouble." Galient grinned at Ayre and expected one back.

Ayre swallowed and grimaced slightly with the thought of pushing bones back into place. Ayre listened to Galient while he finished the rest of the explanation. Ayre then looked down at his stomach realizing the reddening bandages. His face paled slightly then returned to color as he felt Galient pat his back. He looked up to see his grin and couldn't help but grin back. It was the same idiotic looking grin that they had given each other whenever they had gotten in trouble in their younger years. Ayre nodded. "Good idea,"He muttered weakly. What if he wouldn't be able to leave before Ophelia got back. That would be very awkward. Ayre had never been one to like awkward moments. Then again,Who did? Hopefully he would be able to leave before then. What would happened after that? Hunter code required any hunter that got themselves turned into a vampire were to be taken to the court and executed. Galient wasn't doing any harm though? Yet ayre didn't want to go back on his oath that he had given. So many decisions so little time to think.

Once Galient guided Ayre up the stairs and into the guest bedroom that Galient had stayed in the first night he'd been there, Galient had to hold his breath as he bandaged Ayre again. It was a good thing that Galient had eaten just before in the kitchen, otherwise that would have been a disaster. When Galient was done, he took a deep breath, Ayre's blood only lingering in the air now. He looked at Ayre. "There are some thing we need to discuss..." he said, not wanting to talk about the things that Galient would need to do if Ayre told on him, or the things Ayre and Galient would go through if the council found out Ayre had lied to them. He swallowed and began to speak, ready to recite a speech he had just made up a moment before, "I won't hate you if you tell the council. I wouldn't applaud you either, but I wouldn't despise you. It's not right for me to ask you to not tell them when you have clearly been loyal to them longer than I have. And you have shown nothing but respect to Stefan. It would be wrong and selfish for me to ask you not to tattle. But..." he paused for a moment, "I don't want you to get caught if you don't tell. Something bad will happen to both of us if that happens. I don't wish any harm on you, especially if it is my fault in the first place. I would feel so guilty, I would wish the most painful, harmful death I could for me. I would ask the council for it. You would die for me in vain."

Ayre litstened to Galient's speech. He waited for a moment afterwards thinking over what Galient said. He then burst out laughing. He couldn't help himself. It sounded so melodramatic. Yet in the same sense it was serious. He just couldn't help himsefl though. Ayre finally calmed down and looked at Galient. "There is no possible way that I will ever give you away. They could chase me to the ends of the earth yet I will never give him." Ayre punched Galient's shoulder lightly, grinning. "Vampire or not your still my best friend and I will never forget that." He said. Ayre finally felt okay. He still hated vampires but he could deal with Galient and Ophelia. Ricky? Maybe not. He would have to do something about that.

Galient grimaced, and stood up. "I'll be right back..." he said as he left the room and walked to Ophelia's room. God, he missed her. How long had she even been gone? It felt like forever. Galient sighed and sat on her bed, remembering what all had happened there. He shook his head and ran a hand thorugh his hair, thinking: Things certainly moved fast. He glanced up and looked through the window, and saw the moon behind the trees, methodically in the shape of a V in front of the window, looking like birds migrating. Then he recalled what Ayre had said about who he had been fighting. Ricky. He laughed a little, grissly, and fell back onto the bed. He was glad that he was safe for the moment, but bwhat would happen if someone came looking for Ayre? What if Galient was still here, and they found him, realizing he was a vampire. It would be a disaster for all, but he would try his hardest, until he died, to keep Ophelia safe. Then he would pass the baton to Ayre, hopefully willing to keep her safe if she was to be executed and couldn't do it herself. "Ha..." he chuckled. Like she couldn't keep herself safe. She was like a mouse in a maze, finding her 'cheese,' even if it was at the very end of the tunnel. He closed his eyes and sighed dream-like.

Ayre nodded. He waited patiently for a while thinking before he started figiting like a little kid. He decided to wait a little longer before things got unbearable. He looked around the guest bedroom then finally couldn't stand it. with a scowl Ayre walked out into the hall and went in the direction that he saw Galient go in. soon he came to a bed room in which Galient was randomly draped across the best. He shuffled his feet slightly looking at Galient before speaking. "I got lonely....Are you okay?!?" Ayre asked, the scowl with a bit of worry still showing on his face. He ran a hand through his curly brown hair and walked more into the room. His hand fell to his side as he looked at Galient awaiting an answer.
