Ayre shook his head. "Not at all. Either way wouldn't work out. I guess it was either be dead or live an eternity as the creature that I vowed to kill and wipe off the face of the planet. It is a no win situation." He sighed and looked at Galient. "At least this way I can still hunt down my father..."He looked back down on the ground and bit his lower lip. He stayed silent for a few minutes then looked up again. "I think I need some fresh air..."Being a hunter Ayre had never spent much time inside. He did own a house but never spent much time there. After a hunt he would usually spend his days camping. The outdoors made him feel free. Like he had no worries or cares. Ayre stood up and made his way outside.
He stepped out and into the cool air. Luckily the sun was hidden behind dark storm clouds. It seemed to storm so much lately. Just that time of year, he guessed. He looked down and took a deep breath. There were so many scents mingled together. The stale blood from the human he gorged himself on. The cool scent of the grass and leaves. He couldn't even distinguish most of them. There was so much to the world. Before he never had much time to see it all and really get the meaning of most things. not it seemed there there was to much time with nothing to do of it. Ayre knew that Galient wanted to be changed in order to spend the rest of his life with Ophelia, but who did Ayre have? Nobody. That didn't bother him extremely much. The main things he wanted to do were to take down Ricky and his father. Ayre leaned against the side of the house and looked up at the sky.

Ophelia's brows furrowed a little as she listened to their explanation and nodded. "Well, this is the very last resort if you really wanted to save his life. It's understandable." Standing on her toes, Ophelia kissed Galient's cheek. "And no, I'm not mad, as long as it was justified."She let out a long sigh, "Now I have to train two fledglings, that's the only set back. I don't think you even know how to jump yet." Ophelia pursed her lips and poked Galient's nose. This is going to be a handful, I just know it.
Ophelia nodded when Ayre spoke up, watching him get up and step outside. "Alright, just don't get carried away with your new senses, they can take advantage of you if you're not careful." Ophleia couldn't help but feel like a mother duck, quaking after her ducklings, making sure they don't get into trouble. Resting her head against Galients shoulder, she sighed yet again. This is going to be a long night, she thought to herself.

Galient closed his eyes as Ophelia sat her head on his shoulder. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?" he smiled and laughed. He was clearly joking, because he was sure he had many times before, but he was so thankful that she hadn't ripped his head off. He rubbed the back of her head to the small of her back. He sighed, relieved. "I think I'd better check on him. See if he's still here, or off on another spree." He stood, reluctantly leaving Ophelia's side, kissing her softly before he stepped to the door. He opened it and saw Ayre leaning on the front of the house. He grinned half-heartedly and walked to his side. "Bad day, huh?" he said, turning to him. He chuckled, not really finding anything funny, but possibly still in his insane mood. "I know I must be annoying by now, but I really am sorry." He bit his lip and turned back to the forest in front of them. He sighed and closed his eyes, tired from the long day.

Ayre nodded and put his hands in the pockets of his pants. He turned to Galient. He laughed with his friend then looked back up at the sky. "You almost as annoying as you were when we went on out first hunter together. "He smiled at the memory. "I blew that werewolves brains right out. I thought you were going pass out right infront of me." His smile faded and his brow furrowed until he turned to his friend. "You've changed a lot,Galient. Not in a bad way but a good way."He smiled softly then looked down at the ground. "You know we won't be able to hide from the Hunter Council forever."He dig his foot into the ground slightly bringing up dirt and kicking it onto the grass.

Galient nodded, "I know...I've thought about that." He sighed, focusing on how Stefan's face would look if he saw them now. Probably wouldn't get it at first, thinking they had just differentiated since they'd been gone, then would slowly realize what had happened to them as the time went on. Time being about 5 seconds. His face would be purple and red, holding in his anger, trying to hold himself inside, then finally he would either blow up or plunge at them with a stake or shoot them. Either way, someone would die. Maybe they could get away from him, with their new vampiric strength and all, but Stefan was the most skilled hunter Galient had ever seen. And he had been in the business for a long time. Longer than most. There were some hunters who would stay in for as long as sixty years, and Stefan was only 30-something. Stefan's face was plastered to the back of his eyelids when he blinked. Only the second time he blinked, the face was a mass of red. Then the next, there was a stub where his neck ended and where his head had practically popped off from anger. Galient shook his head. He turned to Ayre, "There is such thing as retreating." He knew Ayre wouldn't like this idea. Ayre wasn't the type to run from danger. He would rather fight and die than be a coward and run to save his life. He had said once, Why run and save your life, only one, when you could stay and kill to save many lives? He was right in a sense, but who was more important now? Him, Galient and Ophelia--Ophelia...What would she do if suddenly a cult of hunters showed up on her doorstep. She had been confronted by two, but one was in love with her, harmless, and the other had already been turned. What if they out-numbered the three of them? What if they couldn't get away before things went wrong? Was all of this a waste? He looked to the front door. He would've thought Ophelia would've joined them by now. At least he hoped she would've.

Ophelia bit her lip as she heard the words "Hunter Council." Shivers found there way down her spine. Would this mean that we would have to leave Dawson? Maybe. If those hunters do come to the cabin, she wouldn't know what to do. Also, she was scared at how she'd react. Knowing herself, she'd probably go bat-shit insane. However, if that does happen how would Galient and Ayre react. She hasn't even taught Galient how to use his vampire strength, how the hell would he get there in time.
Letting out a long breath, Ophelia walked to the door and leaned in the frame. "Well, if that's the case, I better teach you two how to use your abilities." The infamous cat, Bianca, decided to come out of her hiding place to rub at Ophelia's leg and was picked up in the pale arms of her owner. "However, if worse comes to worse, we can always go back to my old place in New York, I still own it. The only thing that bothers me about that is that there's another hunter patrolling there, he's been wiping out the inhabitants so we have to be careful if we do."

Galient looked to Ophelia. He smiled sadly. He knew the moment would come when the council would hunt for them. When they would all, figuratively, get their torches and pitchforks and chase them out of town. He just knew, in his heart, that that would happen. He swallowed andclosed his eyes. Why was it that whenever he got something happy, he somehow ruined it? He'd been over this schpeal many times before, why and how and what could he have done to deserve it. But he still didn't know and was oblivious to the love he had and the happiness he ever so rarely got. He grabbed Ophelia's hand and pulled her in closer, laying his head on her shoulder and breathing in roughly the air that filled his nostrils. There was no scent, no blood nor anything. Just the wind. He was thankful for this, knowing that if he could smell anything, the feelings in his heart would take over and he would supress them into anger and hatred. He would rip off the head of the nearest prey. What a waist that would be, but what could he do? He was a devil...and that was what devils did. They killed. They murdered. They were evil.
Galient turned to Ayre, still his forehead on Ophelia's shoulder. "What do you think?" He shot his head up, staring at Ayre's face. If he were to lie, which would be probable, Galient would see the faint flash of tension between his brows. It was always there when he lied. The old man tried so hard to keep a straight face, he kept stressing his skin to keep it from giving away anything. Unfortunately, that's just what it did.

Ayre dug his foot into the ground more. "Retreating would be reasonable but I will never back down."Ayre growled. Even as a hunter Ayre knew the council was extremely flawed. They jumped at the occasion more than once and did more than was necessary. "I have a feeling they have already sent a hunter out to gather information even though that hunter just thinks he is going for a simple hunt."He muttered. "If we retreated it would just fuel their passion more. They would sending more hunters out." Ayre sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He leaned back and looked up at the sky. "A battle will be inevitable."Ayre didn't want a fight. He just wanted to live his ,now, immortal life finding his father. That is all he wanted. After that he would be free to do whatever. He didn't want to spend the rest of his time looking over his shoulder in fear of finding a hunter getting ready to kill him. Ayre wasn't afraid of death anymore but he wouldn't just lay down and let them kill him, Galient or anyone.

Ophelia bit her lip as Ayre explained. Her arms were wrapped around Galient's waist and her lips rested against his shoulder. Her blond brows were furrowed and eyes were staring straight forward in though, steely. If they do...if they do find us and capture us, it could end up just like the blood scare.
Ophelia let out a shuddered breath and glanced over to Ayre. "We can't let that happen." Taking her head off Galient's shoulder to look at him fully, looking at him with the deepest blue fire in her eyes. "There was a similar situation that happened 80 years ago or so. A gang of hunters captured a whole slew of vampires. The hunters starved them, the vampires went into blood lust, and mowed down every single living thing in their path. That was the Blood Scare. I will not allow that to happen again. I don't want anymore blood shed. I refuse."

Ayre shuddered slightly at her story. "Growing up in a family of hunters I heard a completely different story," Stefan had told him something like that although in the version that he was told the Vampires had starved themselves and went insane with blood lust. It was sort of sick the way that the hunters had twisted the story. He ran a tongue over his sheathed fangs and looked at Galient and Ophelia. "One option would be to create some kind of treaty with them. The only problem with that is that not all vampires will agree and the hunters may be weary and not agree to it anyway."Ayre sighed and crossed his arms. He looked down at the ground, pondering.
