Galient felt chilly when his eyes opened in the darkness. Have I woken up in the same night? he asked himself. He looked around and noticed Ophelia still in his arms, like last night, only he felt more energized. Like he had more strength to stand and to move. He swiftly removed his arms from around Ophelia to in front of him as he sat up slowly, careful not to wake up Ophelia. He did so and stood beyond the bed and heard the floor creek under him. He cringed and looked back at Ophelia, not a move she had made. He sighed through his nose and tip-toed down the stairs to the kitchen. He checked the clock on the oven and it said: 9:00 p.m. "That's odd..." he spoke aloud, not noticing he did.
The time was at about the same time as when Ophelia and him had gone upstairs. Perhaps it was the next day after all, he thought. He looked at the fridge and remembered about his thirst for blood that he had undoubtedly added to his diet. He skittered to the refridgerator and opened the door, searching for the little blood packets. He found the drawer where she stored them and plucked one from the colony. He bit into the bottom, letting the run-away blood trail down his chin(which wasn't much of the blood). He finished it off and threw the bag away in the trash can, not whiping the blood from his chin, but trying to lick it off with his tongue. It would dry faster on his hand than on his jaw.

As Galient left the room, Ophelia rolled over on her side so she was facing the wall. There she was again, curled into her customary fetal possion and sheets and blankets wrapped up around her. She looked like one of those orphan babies one might find in a basket on their doorstep: only in larger perporsions.
When Galient moved, Ophelia a woke a little bit. Just enough to thing to herself....nnnggggeee...sleeeepy. A few minutes afterwards, Ophelia rolled over to look at the digital clock on the otherside of the room. The scarlet numbers read 9:20 pm. Hmmm, she said, I haven't slept this long in a while, must because of last night...that much energy was drained huh? The thoughts of last night haunted her memory as she sat up and shook her wild blonde hair and straightened her angelicly white dress.
Stumbling out into the hall, Ophelia found her way down the stairs silently to find Galient in the kitchen. He was sucking slowly on a blood pack. She smiled to herself as she watched him intently, wondering if he could sense her quite yet. She had decided to sneak up behind him as quietly as she could, testing his skills.

Galient could hear tiny footsteps behind him and he turned swiftly to face Ophelia. "Hello there, my sweet." He said as he decided to step towards her, without wiping the blood from his jaw. He smiled and showed his gleaming teeth wih a bit of blood on some. It looked like a mediocre smile, but that was only because he had just eaten. The smell of Ophelia got stronger when he inhaled. He hadn't noticed before, but she smelled like a bunch of sour and sweet things mixed together. It was a wonderful smell. Was this her normal smell or maybe a perfume? It could've been either.
He wrapped his arms around Ophelia. Not meaning to get romantic, but for a simple "thank you" he said quietly in her ear. He backed away and his smile was cleaner, more pronounced now that he had licked off the remaining blood.

She grinned as he spun to meet her. However, Ophelia didn't know whether Galient had used his newly aquired senses or not. Perhaps increased hearing. No matter, she thought. Noticing the blood on his jaw, she wiped it away briskly. "Good evening my dear." She replied to him while doing so. "How did you sleep?"
Before he answered, she was swept into his arms. Wrapping her own arms around Galient, she rested her head on his shoulder. His scent delighted her. It was like the smell of sandelwood mixed with several different types of lightly smokey grasses. It was odd, but a very nice smell. Fits your perfectly, love, she thought to him, wishing he could hear her thoughts. His thanks rang in her ear as he backed away. Ophelia tilted her head slightly and gave him a curious look. "For what love?"

He laughed a quick laugh and shook his head gladly, "Just for being here, silly. You've turned my world upside down. I thank you for that. My so-called life was not a life at all. Determined to kill beings that some are just forced to be, like yourself. I feel so bad sometimes for doind that. But, some of them, like your creator, deserve it. But, enough about my past life, let's do something about it and start a new life. Together." Galient took Ophelia's hands in both of his and took another step towards her so he was pressed up against her. He unclasped his hands from hers and lifted them to her cheeks and pulled her head up so he could kiss her. Passionately, he slipped his hands from her face to her nicely-shaped hips and the small of her back was covered by his right hand, because it was so big. He pushed her up to him and he felt her weight in his hands, he had lifted her up, only a little, from the ground. He chuckled in the kiss and spun her around.
He set her down and stopped kissing her and looked over to the clock. It was almost 9:40 p.m. Time had gone by so fast. It seemed they were always skipping, going by without really noticing what was happening, only in their world. It seemed reasonable enough to Galient, but improbable. "It's been over 24 hours that we've slept. Is that normal?" Galient asked. He wasn't really sure how long vampires were supposed to sleep. A whole day seemed like a lot. But, he might've thought that because he never truly slept at all. He would always keep one eye open at night, making sure that he wouldn't be attacked, and also looking for new prey. He looked back at Ophelia and grimaced, thinking I could've hurt her, without even knowing that I would love her. I could've killed you, Ophelia.

A ridiculously cute smile curled up on Ophelia's lips. "You're welcome..."she said cheekily as Galient pulled her into the kiss. Whenever he talked so romantically about how she had changed his life around. How she was the only thing keeping him going now, his only reason to "live". Wrapping her arms around his shoulders, Ophelia kissed back with the same passion he gave her. When he picked her up, she squirmed a little bit but held on tightly. You're so sweet to me, love. For a moment she just sat there in his arms in mid-air, not wanting to move.
Aaww, she thought as he set her down, not really wanting to move. "Yeah, when you use a lot of energy, your body takes over and to refuel yourself, you sleep. Just like a human...except not." She giggled. "So what do you want to do love?" As she asked she playfully rocked back and forth on her heels, like a small child might. For some reason, Ophelia was feeling very playful tonight.

He smiled his charming, crooked smile and blinked once, "I think you know what I want to do." He looked down and noticed that the two of them were doing the same thing with their feet, rolling on their heels. He laughed and looked back up at Ophelia. He slipped his hands into his pockets and began to pace around the room, not knowing if she might've been thinking the same thing or not. He stopped in front of the fridge again and could smell the blood packs through the door. He opened the door softly and looked back, towards Ophelia, "Would you like one?" He said thoughtfully. He grabbed two and set one on the counter. If she said no, he would drink it. I might drink it even if she sayd she wants it anyway, he thought to himself.

Ophelia pursed her soft red lips as he answered. To be honest, she was apprehencive about doing such a thing with him...if that's what he meant anyway. Smiling, she hopped up on the counter top next to him. Swinging her legs to and fro, Ophelia watched him take out the blood packs and offer her one.
She took it gladly. Ophelia tore the tube of the pack that would be pumped through an IV tube. Cleanly tearing the top of it, she began to suck on it happily. She was a little hungry at the moment, but this would fix everything...almost. Finishing her pack within seconds, the set the empty plastic on the counter, not realizing the tiny droplet of blood left at the corner of her mouth. She sat there, smiling at Galient, before he even started his pack.

Galient watched Ophelia drink her blood and bit into the bottom of the bag he was holding, he was that patient this night. He noticed she didn't comment on what he had said about what he wanted to do, he got worried. Maybe she wasn't so sure about it anymore. Of course, most girls are, he thought. He bit his lip, it was his nervous statue-like pose, arms crossed, biting his lip and his feet both shoulder length apart. He also cracked his knuckles when he was nervous, he also did this now. The cracking was lous compared to the silence. He looked down and saw his foot tapping, also one of his nervous things he'd do. It was funny that all of his old habits had stayed with him even when he was a vampire. He laughed without opening his mouth. A mumbled laugh, a chuckle. He rubbed his arms, not because he was nervous, but because he was a little cold. He would have to get used to this new body temperature.
"You're," He paused and took a breath, "You're not sure if you want to anymore. I understand." He looked back up at Ophelia on the counter. He took a step closer to her so he was next to her, almost directly in front of her. He put his hand on her cheek and drew her eyes to his face, his brown eyes, "But tell me, are you anxious to do anything tonight?"

She was afraid this might happen. If she didn't respond to him that he would get worried something was wrong. Nothing was wrong, not really. Watching his body language before he asked his question, it was rather obvious he was worried or nerveous. When he pulled close to her, Ophelia just smiled and shook her head.
"It's not that I don't want to love..." she finally responded "I guess, for some reason, I'm scared." Ophelia rested her forehead against his and placed her hand on his, holding it gently. "I have no reason to be scared of you...I know. Maybe I'm nerveous because well...I haven't done that sort of thing in a good 130 years." Her voice was shakey, but she tried to make it as lighthearted as possible. That's it, she thought, my mind is made up. Not only that, I promised you I would love. I promised you. Leaning in slighty, Ophelia lovingly kissed Galient's lips. As she pulled away, she whispered "Just go slow...alright love?" With that, Ophelia pressed her lips against his again, not quite knowing what to expect.
