Ayre chuckled lightly."A girl? It's about time, Whats her name?"He asked. Ayre had his suspicions. Ayre grasped the spike and looked at Galient. With his other hand Ayre placed the hat upon his head again. When the boy smiled he couldn't help but smile himself. Ayre's eyes scanned over the boys face. I was right...Ayre noticed that Galient's pupils had begun to dilate. That only meant one thing. He followed his friends gaze to the unsuspecting people. How many of them would be killed by some monster? He looked them over closely. They all seemed pretty average with nothing fancy to show. He smiled lightly at Lefanda lightly then looked at Galient. "Can I talk to you outside for a moment ,Galient?"He asked, sliding from the chair and standing up. Ayre dreaded what he had to say but he knew it couldn't be held back any longer. He walked to the door taking one last glance back. Ayre knew that his decision would decided what happened after all. Whether a life was to be lost or not.

Galient felt queasy about his decision. He looked at the room and slid off of his seat dreadfully. He walked to the door and outside, looking at Ayre. He wasn't sure if Ayre's duties would overcome their friendship or not. He hoped it would. Oh, God, how he hoped it would. What would Ophelia do if she found out Galient had been staked? Would she go after Ayre and kill him, like a chain reaction? Galient would be dissapointed in her. Galient looked away from Ayre and spoke softly and slowly, trying to make a point. "Look, Ayre, I don't know what you're getting at, but it's nothing to be incredibly rampid and dangerous..." Galient gulped and glanced at the stake in Ayre's right hand, "about."

Ayre sighed. "How could you let this get done to you!?!"He yelled. He raised his hand with the stake and pointed it at Galient. "After all that we've been through what were you thinking?"Ayre's anger was obvious but there was also a sadness. Ayre felt betrayed. What was he to do now? Ayre clenched his teeth. When angry Ayre could be a frightening man. "You have no idea of how much I don't want to do this but it is my sworn duty,Galient."He muttered darkly. He stepped back slightly. His hand trembled slightly. Not with fear but with despair.

Galient stopped breathing for a moment and felt a chill run down his back. He hadn't killed anyone! He had no reason to die! What was Ayre thinking? They were friends, buddies, and he had done nothing wrong! He stepped back and held his hands up in front of him, as a pitiful shield, "Ayre, I haven't killed anyone, and I never will! Ophelia has been helping me! Please," he pleaded, "If anything were to happen to me, Ophelia will not be happy with you...believe me, Ayre, she can do more than you and a hundred hunters are capable of." He paused, thinking of the horrible things she could do when she was rabid with anger and despair. He shook his head and looked at Ayre, his eyes yearning for Ayre's understanding. "I'm in love with her, Ayre. She..." he took a breath and closed his eyes daringly, something a hunter would never do when face-to-face with a vampire, "she'll hunt you down and kill you if you do this..."

For a moment Ayres hand holding the stake and his eyes faltered. He looked down slightly."Galient..."He looked back up and stepped back a few times. "Are you mad?"He whispered loudly. His hand lowered and stepped back again. His steps were uneasy and clumsy. He stumbled a few times and continued backing up. I can't do this... Ayre realized. He couldn't kill his best friend. He was weak and this made him ashamed. "What kind of Hunter am I if I can't kill a single vampire."Ayre muttered lowly. He felt so small. His fear and anger wasn't of Ophelia but of the fact that he was losing Galient to someone he despised and vowed to kill other than his father. Ayre looked away. The rain dripped off the brim of his hat. He took the hat from his head and tossed it onto the ground. "Dang It!"He growled fiercely and with a single move he sheathed his spike and took off running in the opposite direction of Galient. His chest burned in humiliation. He didn't glance back.

Ricky was feeling claustrophobic in his cottage with his sister, Rori. He had needed to get out, so he walked around aimlessly around town. That's when he heard them, the footsteps running toward him. He looked down the street and saw a tall figure, a man it seemed, sprinting down the street with a spike on his waist and a melancholy feeling in his facial expression. Ricky wondered why, but then he also wondered why there was a hunter in Dawson. Wasn't this town safe enough for vampires? If it wasn't he'd have to gather his and Rori's things and leave....as soon as he killed this one and lonely hunter. Ricky stepped out into the street in front of the hunter.
He called to the man, "Well, hey there. You look like someone who's lost." Ricky chuckled to himself as he stared at the man. He looked like he could put up a nice fight, which was also something that Ricky needed. He'd been tired and exhausted since his little tiff with Ophelia. It wasn't his fault he'd kissed her. Well, that was his fault, but the attraction wasn't. Just thinking about it, he got angry. He really felt like getting into it tonight. This hunter was up for the surprise of his life.

Ayre slowed down. He stopped and looked at Ricky oddly."Another one of you blood drinking weirdos?"He sighed and pulled the spike from his belt. "At least I can take my frustration out on you."He muttered. His feet found the correct stance for fighting one with super strength and agility. Ayre was speaking the truth. He wished he could just yell out and just die. He wouldn't die till his has accomplished his task. Ayre rolled his eyes slightly in annoyance.
Ayre glared the the creature."Come on Leech, Give me your best."He said twirling the spike between his fingers skillfully. Ayres gaze was challenging. His other hand twitched slightly ready to grab another weapon to fend off the beast. Ayre had enough with these things. He wanted to be alone at the moment."Lets make this fast so I won't have to waste time." Arye looked closely at Ricky. He seemed slightly agitated and it wasn't just because there was a hunter in front of him.

Ricky grimaced and stood in a fighting stance, ready to pounce on his opponent who he still didn't know the name of. "Before I kill you, what's your name, hunter?" Rickey laughed a little, "You do have a name, right? You must be like every other hunter I've met, thinking every vampire is the same because on killed your family." Rickey laughed loudly, as if he was laughing in his face, and then made his hands go into a model-like fixture where they looked like claws. He grinned--he was going to enjoy this. Ricky leapt forward, just jumping in front of him. He wanted to scare the poor fool before he murdered him. He would make a nice midnight snack. Ricky's smile grew wider.

"Ayre Tristansi."Ayre replied gruffly. "What about you?"He asked. Ayre half smiled when Ricky mentioned the word kill."By the end of this fight you shall be the dead one."He muttered. His eyes narrowed as he noticed the vampires slightly movements. When he lept it had startled him but he kept his composure and shifted back slightly."Your quite fast."Ayre mused. He placed the spike in his hand and aimed it near the vampire's heart. He wanted to make it last. A small grin spread across his face. He would enjoy this immensely.

Ricky stepped to the back of Ayre and and put him in a head lock, cutting off his air supply. "Ricky Absinthe." Ricky leaned Ayre's head slightly to the right, to pierce his neck neatly and clean, not leaving any evidence or saliva. Not that anyone would suspect a vampire of killing this man, because no one would find him. Well, except maybe perhaps some wolves or vultures. Ricky didn't like to think of what happened to people before they were dead and gone. It had always grossed him out, but he was a vampire now, he'd have to face itlike a man and suck it up. He took a moment. Maybe he would make Ayre's death last, maybe speak to him. He'd like to know his victim first. Ricky loosened his grip a little, giving him a small air hole to breathe. "So, Ayre," he said with a gruesome smile, "What brings you here to this wonderful city at this time of night? A hunter never walks alone in a town crazy with vampires. You must be a real idiot, huh?"
