Ayre immediately froze. Was this the end? His anger flared as Rickey bit him but he couldn't breathe so he couldn't do anything. I can't die now...not yet! "I've been looking for someone but when I found them I was sadly disappointed."He choked out. Ayre closed his eyes for a second and clenched the spike. If he was to die he would take this vampire with him. Ayre jammed his hand back planning to spike him. He wondered what Galient would think when he saw Ayre's dead body. Ayre thrashed around attempting to break from Rickey's grasp. He used his entire strength."I'm not dying yet!"

Ricky flinched back as the stake barely missed him, and he stepped back, wiping his mouth. He'd let go of Ayre. This guy was tougher than he looked. Ricky sighed and cracked his knuckles. This night wasn't gonna be as fun as he thought. He looked up and saw Ayre, angry as hell, and his eyes glaring at him. What he had said, about the person he'd been looking for. Was there a possibility he was talking about Ophelia? He would be dissapointed, that was for sure...And if he was deathly dissapointed, he would've surely killed Ophelia because she was a vampire. Ricky's madness inside of him began to flicker, binding him in a whirlwind of emotions. Ricky glared up at Ayre and bared his teeth, growling like a mad-man. "What have you done to Ophelia?!" He said this just as he pounced upon Ayre, pushing both of them on the ground.

Ophelia? Ayre wondered. Is he a follower too? His instinct kicked in as he was pounced upon. Ayre grunted as they hit the floor. God, he was getting to old for this job. He brought his hands up and set them on Ricky's shoulders. "I haven't done anything to Ophelia...yet."Ayre knew this would only make this furious vampire even worse. He knew that if he was able to harm Ophelia in anyway she would come back and hit 10x harder. But if he was able to kill her what would Galient do? He would probably never forgive Ayre for his actions. To many possibilities and nothing good came of them for anyone. He could leave them alone and go after his father. But what if he died in battle? Ayre sighed and turned back to Ricky. He tucked his knees in and shoved his feet up into Ricky's stomach like a cat kicking a toy. He hoped this move would by him some time. Ayre looked sideways to see his stake lying a few feet away. If he could just get to it...

Ricky's head smashed into a tree, cracking it down the center, making it look like lightning struck. Ricky was unconsious for a moment and then awoke to thunder bursting in his ears. He opened his eyes and looked at Ayre, glaring and showing his teeth. Ricky growled and stood up, baring his fangs and gripping his hands into fists, ready to kill this idiotic hunter that had just opposed him. How dare he?! he thought. Ricky charged forward, then quickly turned to the side, climbing a tree, and possibly confusing Ayre. Ricky laughed meniacally. Then he sped his pace, running on the branch and leaping to the next tree. His weight moved it down, making to owl that was sitting on it fly away in fear. Ricky screamed loudly to get Ayre's attention and dropped down to the ground, angry as a rabid animal.

Ayre stood up and stepped back, slightly alarmed by his quick and irrational movements. "He's half crazed by now..."Ayre muttered to himself. He stepped back again and reached down for his spike. He gripped it tightly and followed Ricky's movements. The sharp screech that came from the vampire hurt his ears and gave him an instant headache. The scream sounded almost metallic like metal against metal. Ayre grimaced lightly. He clenched his teeth. He wanted to get this fight done with! Ayre looked at the raving monster and a look of disgust came across his face."So unmannered."Ayre chuckled halfheartedly and began to walk toward Ricky. "Come on lets get this over with."Ayre sounded cocky but he didn't feel like it. His walk turned into a run. He was ready for anything this vampire threw at him. His hand loosened around the spike and he got ready to attack.

Ricky was hardly realizing what he was doing. He had no idea what his body was doing, except reacting. His brain altered his movements just in time as Ayre raced toward him and he started sprinting to the lights of the nearby lamp post. He stepped onto the bottom and climbed up the post. He grippied the top and strecthed his underarm onto the sharp point on it and climbed as high as he could, kneeling on the upper part of the light. Ricky looked down at Ayre and grimaced, "Ayre, or whatever your name could be, you may NOT harm Ophelia under any circumstances!" Ricky climbed higher and raised his head, staring into the night sky and yelling at the top of his lungs, "Do you hear me, you irrational hunter?!" Ricky ran his dirty hand through his hair and ruffled it slightly, raising it up on end, instead of doppled down by the pounding rain.

Ayre skidded to a halt. He watched Ricky closely. "What a weirdo..."Ayre sighed. A slight chuckled broke from between his lips. He looked up at Ricky, smiling a bit. This kid was making a dang fool of himself. When Ayre heard Ophelia's name again he face-palmed himself."So you're an obsessed Ophelia freak too?"He shook his head and then Ayre threw back his head and let out a booming laugh. "You're killing me,kid!"Ayre said when he calmed down. He brushed his hair from in front of his eyes. When he heard the word 'irrational' he chuckled again."You're calling me irrational?"Ayre put his spike away."You have my word vampire for now. But if it comes to the time when I'm in danger I won't hold back from her or anybody."

The night was cold and chilly and rainy...Elod hated rain. Like a cat afraid of getting wet, he would've much rather stayed inside where it was warm and dry, but he was hungry and he hadn't eaten in a few days so the bars beckoned. As he walked along the gloomy raindrop spattered street Elod was on the lookout for his next victim. Victim...how he hated that term, but it was difficult to come up with anything better. The lowlife scum he preyed on didn't really deserve to live anyway, or at least that was his reasoning. Likely the other humans and most certainly the hunters didn't see it that way.
A faint hint of blood wafted toward Elod, there was some kind of fight ahead on the road. Elod ducked down into the shadows behind some dull pine trees and crept cautiously forward to watch the proceedings. Despite the dark, his keen yellow eyes could focus in on the battle easily. There was another vampire on top of a lamp post, acting like some kind of crazed lunatic. Elod had to admit he had no truck with other vampires in general, or anybody, so he didn't really feel any sympathy for the bloke. It was then that Elod noticed another more dangerous looking character, a man holding a stake. Elod could feel his breath catch in his throat and his heart pound furiously, this was the first time he had ever seen a hunter. "So this is what they look like..." Elod thought to himself almost half mindedly, his curiosity overriding his burning desire to flee. Very carefully, Elod shifted his position, but it wasn't careful enough. A twig quietly snapped as he did so, causing Elod to cringe and remain motionless for fear that any further action would alert the hunter to his presence, if he hadn't already.

A slight movement caught Ayre's attention. He stayed still, not taking his eyes from Ricky till he was sure that there was something to be worried about. The snap of a twig proved it. Ayre took a deep breath and turned to the noise. He clenched his stake tightly between his hand. "What is a vampire like you doing out in a cold and rainy night like this?"He asked calmly. Ayre could only assume that it was a vampire because if it was a human they probably would have been louder and more obvious. Ayre turned his attention away from Ricky to look in the shadows that Elod rested in. He could see a faint outline of a body. "I hope that you are here in peaceful means. I really would not like to got through another fight tonight."Ayre was serious considering that fight with Rickey had exhausted him.
After tonight Ayre would be perfectly fine with early retirement. Except for the fact that it didn't solve any of his problems apart from his fear of dying on the job. Ayre glanced up at the sky as it kept raining. If this keeps up we will have a flood...Ayre thought to himself then looked back at the figure in the shadows. He was getting impatient with all of these vampires. Ayre wondered if this person knew Galient or had any information about Ophelia. He shifted his position slightly and was prepared to attack...or defend.

Elod felt stone cold, well...more cold than normal that is. The general lack of blood vampires had caused both his pale skin and a rather unnatural chilly body temperature. The hunter had spotted him, though thankfully he seemed to be rather worn down and uninterested in attacking, presumably from fighting the maddened male vampire a few moments ago. Very cautiously, Elod stepped out of the shadows, still keeping a reasonable distance away from the man and his gleaming stake. Elod eyed the stake warily, "I'm no more interested in a fight than you are...I was just out for a stroll when I smelt blood, so I wandered over to see what was going on." He still felt insecure and it was obvious that he was tensed to run at the slightest hint of aggression. Hunters couldn't be trusted, Elod knew if he wasn't careful he'd find himself dead, for real this time.
