Ricky's eyes widened as Ayre ran to him, a knife potruding from his hand. He bit his lip and made a sorrowful look, then a sigh. "Such a foolish old man..." he said as he smiled pitifully. He blinked and then, as suddenly as he had blinked, a pain arose from his stomach. Just the side, but somewhere close to his appendix. He swallowed and he could taste a warm and strangely slimy liquid in his mouth. He grimaced and put his hand to his mouth and looked at the liquid on his hands. It was dark and clumped together, not red though. Was this vampire blood? Black and slimy, like a run over raccoon that had been rotting. His throat closed and he stumbled to the ground, closing his eyes from the pain. Ricky looked up at Ayre. "Alright...uncle. I call uncle." Ricky forced himself up and his sight started to blur. He wasn't dying...was he? Ricky looked at Ayre, which was actually a dark blob in this black forest. "It was nice fighting you, old man."

Ayre stopped once he saw Ricky fall. A trick? No, this boy look seriously sick. Ayre tucked the knife away and nodded, slowly. He leaned against a nearby tree and looked at Ricky. "Yeah...nice..."He chuckled darkly and immediately regretted it. His hand clutched tighter to his stomach. His fingers were spread where the bone jutted out. He needed to get some help and fast. Yet, Ayre could barely move and the chance of him making it far was slim. He closed his eyes and slowly lid to the floor taking in a deep sign that hurt as well but he had to breath right? Ayre then opened his eyes and looked up at Ricky. "Your...strong...clever too"He gasped, his breathing labored and rough. He placed a hand over his mouth and coughed again. He only had one thing to say at this moment and that was that this sucked. Ayre cracked his aching neck and dropped his hand. He just needed a small rest and then he could get up and move.

Galient walked along the pathways of the forest, not really knowing where he was going. Maybe to get a bite to eat? He laughed at the pun. All at once he heard a low moan to his right. He turned and caught a glimpse of a dark shadow cast along the trunk of a tree. In this broad dayilght, this person was either hurt or seriously sick. Or maybe just a lunatic. He had heard the night before some rustling going on back here and maybe some grunting and fighting, but nothing that would've killed someone unless they were vampire and human. He skipped forward and stopped at a tree when he saw and realized who he was looking at. "Ayre?" He said surprised. He knelt down by him and he looked unconscious. He had been right, it had been a human and a vampire. Who had been the vampire though? No one merciful, it seemed. Ayre's stomach was ripped open, a bone utted out in a unnatural position. Blood was dry and Galient was happy he had been snacking before he came over. He held his breath, but spoke. He tried not to suck in any clean, yet dirtied by the blood, air. "Who did this, Ayre? Can you hear me?" He coughed on his sleeve and shook his head. This would've been a disaster of Galient hadn't been so in control.

Ayre's eyes fluttered open. He groaned again and spoke. his voice was hoarse at first but after a few tried he finally got the words out. "Ricky, his name was.."He muttered softly. The slightest movements of breathing and talking hurt like hell. He could barely see the stranger but recognized the voice. Galient. What was he doing here? Ayre should have been mad but for now he was just grateful. What kind of mess had he gotten into. Ayre had been stupid to get into that fight and think he could have won. At least he wasn't bitten...or killed. That would have been worse. Ayre coughed slightly feeling stupid and weak. If he couldn't beat Ricky then how had he finished off all those other vampires before? "What are you doing here anyway,Galient?"Ayre asked. He waited for an answer.

Galient smiled a little. "Destiny has brought me to you, Ayre" he said, recalling an inside joke of theirs from way back. They had been in the weight room, and because they always hung out together, the other guys said that maybe they were gay. They had denied it, of course, and then made a joke of it, saying 'You're my soul mate!' and 'Destiny has brought us together!' when everyone was around. Galient slid his arm under Ayre's broken body and picked him up quite easily. Things were so much lighter now that he was stronger. He may not want totell that, he thought. Things were bad as they were, him being a vampire and everything. He needn't tell him that he was quite happy with the transformation. Galient looked down at Ayre and started walking, hopefully in the direction of the hospital. "Did you say a guy named Ricky?" Galient stopped and waited for an answer, astonished he'd heard that son of a bitch's name again.

Ayre chuckled painfully at his friends joke and winced. Fate. It was cruel yet giving at the same time. Ayre was never one of those pessimistic people because even things were bad there were also the good things. Sometimes it was easier to be happy than other times. Things were so simple back then. Things changed though. Ayre clenched his teeth when he was picked up. God,Galient was strong. Perks of being a vampire though Ayre guessed. He nodded. "Yeah. My fault though. I was being cocky and foolish."Ayre said to him as Galient walked. "You must known him if I'm not mistaken. He mentioned Ophelia's name a couple times so I only assumed..."Ayre trailed off. He sighed, licking his dry lips. After Ricky half killed him he had almost gotten up and left to find a safe place but then he passed out. Ayre clenched the fist that was drapped across his stomach. He could still feel the bone protruding out. At first it didn't hurt to bad because of shock but then it set in. Ayre closed his eyes, feeling tired and old.
